I am a bass player, needed a pair of headphones to replace a pair of Shure's that were less than 6 months old and already buzzing like crazy, buy cheap buy twice as they say. I spent a few hours researching and these Moda's kept popping up as the best for bass players. I have neighbours to the left of me, neighbours to the right, I'm stuck in the middle so obviously volume is an issue. These Moda's, whilst pricey are exceptional in my opinion and well, well worth the money. Mostly metal construction and unlike some other comments, I found them quite comfy. they sure seem built to last. Granted I've only had them for a couple of hours but I can tell you now, I had to adjust all settings on my amp and guitar to get that sweet Joe Dart sound I'm currently loving. Bass is chunky without being muddy and doesn't flood the mids and highs which are well represented. Sound reproduction is accurate and really pleasing to my lugholes. I'm not into technicalities but they sound pretty awesome to me. They are a considered purchase but you get what you pay for and you get an exceptional pair of headphones. If you're a bass player, can afford them and need to practice quietly, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these.

At first, I thought bass was taking too much place on the songs. I am listening on Deezer hifi 1411 mpbs quality. I changed the audio balance to neutral, and it's more perfect for me. I especially think the acoustic songs sound amazing. Very spacious, rich and detailed. I bought the thicker-ear-pads, and confort is great. I think it's a most, although 50$ more is a lot. I compared them to Senheiser HD8 DJ which are exceptionnal headphones, but with 90 ohms. Regardless, there is not a lot of difference volume, but the quality is greater on the V-Moda, both when I use with my samsung phone, or with my AV tv receiver. As i use my HD8 Dj for music production and electric piano, I will use my V-modas mostly for TV, movies, games and music, using my pioneer amplifier AV receiver which is plugged to my 4k tv. I was using 2.4 ghz wireless Sennheiser headphones with my tv, but I could not stand random interference with my modem, phone, or even remote control. So it was my last experience with wireless headphones. Wired headphones are just better for the sound. You pay only for the sound, and you know you will not have audio-skips. I tested many songs through the XBOX Deezer Hifi app, and sound is amazing. I love EDM but also acoustics. And acoustics gave me the best effect right now cause of it's spatial sound. Very surprising for closed-back headphones. On my amplifier, I have the option ''sound retriever'' and it changes absolutely everything when you put that on. It gives you way more detailed sounding and much deeper bass, which sometimes is a lot, especially on a hard-bass rocking song. So be sure to play with your AV receiver audio options, it might surprises you. Songs by Ed Sheeran, Lana Del Rey, or The passenger sound amazing. Of course, it depends of the quality production of the songs you listen to. EDM music like Tiesto, David Guetta, Benny Benassi have a tasty sound, with enveloping bass. I don't thinks somebody can be deceived by the bass. I like bass, and as I said, sometimes I thought it was a bit too much. But it can all be adjusted with the equalizer of your music app. As for general TV, the dialogues are super clear, so I know movies will be great. Of course, I recommend the product.
