WOD&DONE Custom Hand Protection Athletic Tape Grips for Pullups, Functional Fitness, Gymnastics

These are a great option for my tiny baby hands! I've tried using leather grips and borrowed some from friends but I just can't maintain grip around the bar when using something that is so thick. These are excellent because I don't have to grip around even more. I have found that they work well for my CrossFit workouts. To be fair, if I put them on AFTER getting sweaty, they are not as secure. However, if I actually follow the directions and dry my hands, they grip well and stay there. Definitely good quality for their price!

I will never use the bar again without these! I haven't had a big tear or blister since using underneath my leather bear komplex grips (note: I think it's important to use both. Neither seem to work 100% on their own for T2B, pull-ups, etc. but work really well together). Only minor issue is that the grips do slide and bunch up on my palms over time but not enough to be a big issue. I recommend applying with the glue 10-15 minutes before you get sweaty and/or start working out. Any time I don't wait, they slide around quite a bit. Also, be warned, if you use the glue, you will be left with a wild, sticky, black mess on your hands- easily removed with oil though. Again, pros 100% outweigh the cons and major hand rips!

Great product for one-time use hand protection. The tape is very thin - much thinner than regular tape - and the adhesive is strong. I don't even feel the tape while I'm working out. It does bunch a little, but it's so thin that you can't really feel it. I've only used these a few times, and only for high volume bar work where I know I'll rip. Really nice to have, but I use sparingly due to cost. One downside The adhesive from the tape gets stuck to my hands, and you really have to scrub your hands afterwards to get the adhesive off. Scrubbing adhesive off is way better than nursing a ripped callus for a week, in my opinion.

Great product. Unlike traditional grips, this is a skin-thin application. I use it for flying trapeze where traditional change the experience and frequently get in the way, and traditional tape is time-consuming to apply and tends to rip. Using this product for trapeze requires a couple of mods: first that contrary to instructions, you do need to stretch the product a lot as you are applying it, so that it doesn't bunch up just below the fingers. It will do that in any case but the result is better. Secondly its best for indoor (petit) rig; I find that they last about 80% of the way through a 2-hour class on the big (grand) rig--but in either case they stick on the hand despite tears so this is perfectly fine. You can fit them over your index, middle and fourth finger as well as the suggested pinky + 4 + middle-- this works better for me for flying. One problem: its easy to remove the tape itself, but I've not yet found an easy solution for removing the black glue that is left behind, without using horrible chemicals and I end up with glue residue on my hands for days. No advice on the website. Once that's solved, I love them.

Good product, comfortable, and I like that I can feel the bar in my hands. Easy to apply, good initial stickiness with the tacky solution provided. However, product did not survive through a 10 min pull-up workout - it bunched up after one round of 10 pull-ups, then tore apart after the 3rd round. While my hands/skin did not tear, the product did not meet my expectations.

Right off the bat I think this is a great product. I do Ninja Warrior competitions and the need for minimalist hand protection that doesn't interfere with the feel of the bars or obstacles in your hand is pretty high. There aren't a lot of solutions out there for what we do. during workouts it's really common to have to cut your workout short because your hand skin is in pain or about to rip. After trying these out in a quick series I found out that the sticky grips don't work well with my hairy arms. And I'll take this opportunity to say that I think that the stickiness of the tapes is pretty great it's definitely high-quality and not something cheap. But physics matter and the hair wins, so I modified it a little bit and just tied it on top of my wrist which you can see in the picture. After that problem is taken care of, I really like the texture on the tape it provides just enough friction so that it's really smooth on the bars. The other people that I have had try it all say the same thing that it doesn't really affect how they do anything so it's a great product. It's definitely extended the amount of time I can get work in on obstacles. The girls like that they can get them in pink lol. These are definitely going in my gym bag and will keep some on hand at all times.

My daughter is a 9yo gymnast (JO level 7/8) and has the most confidence in Bar because she never worries about getting rips or tears on her hands. She loves your product and can focus on her technique and skills rather than worrying about her hands. She wears the RipGuards as a base layer under her grips. She currently uses the 3-hole variant and loves them. USA Gymnastics has authorized all color tape in competition, so we can have fun with the different color choices! Amazing product and top-notch customer service.

Perfect saviour for my hands whilst on the rig Used in Ceossfit Comps and for Murph annual Wod Can become unstuck even with using the glue however that's due to the volume of work out moves on a rig Saves my hands every time from rips and tears
