***update*** I have been using this watch at work for a couple months now. I found that it is very water resistant. I also figured out the alarms. **end update*** Wow! I really don't understand why this watch got all those bad reviews. I am truly loving it. I work in an extremely loud environment. That means I need a watch with vibration alarms. I don't need a smart watch. Just a regular watch that has timers and alarms. I am hard on my watches as well. I wear gloves to protect my hands from the chemicals I work with, but sweat so bad, that my watch tends to get wet anyway. I also have very small wrists, and most watches are way too big for me. So, here is what I found so far: Pro's: - The watch is designed for small wrists. It is quite proportional as compared to other watches. - The strap uses a very strong velcro. This isn't coming off your wrist unless you want it to. - This watch gives you the option of 8 different alarms. So I can set it for different events. Wake up, get ready for work, lunch time, work is over, etc. - It has a stopwatch which I use occasionally to check how equipment is running. - It technically has a timer, but it is really another set of reminders that once set, can't really be set "as needed". - You have the option of a sound alarm, vibration, or both at the same time. - I found the directions very easy to follow. The setup of the alarms was quite simple. - I like that you can lock the watch to prevent accidental changes if you bump one of the buttons. And setting the lock/unlock is easy. Con's: - You can either turn all the alarms off or on. You cannot choose which alarms to keep on, or off. In other words, it's all or nothing. - The timer is not a "use as needed" feature. It is designed to be more of an interval reminder. I may be able to manipulate it if I set it up right when I need it. - The sound alarm is very low. I had trouble hearing it in a quiet house. While that may be a deal breaker for some, I bought this watch specifically for the vibration alarm. I have not used this at work yet because of the "Pandemic". So I am unable to test how water resistant the watch really is. I will comment on that at a later date. While there was a more adult friendly watch available, it was much more expensive. Since I am so hard on watches, I chose this one. I would have purchased the Timex Ironman (they have a small sized one that is waterproof), but it does not have the vibration alarm capability that I so desperately need. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a vibrating alarm watch. This seemed like a great kid's watch. The velco makes it easy for my son to put it on, adjust it or take it off himself. It has a very nice locking feature to keep him from "accidentally" messing with the time or alarms setting. It's a very nice size for his seven-year-old arm. Compared to the previous watch (which we returned) it is quite a bit easier to set as well. While you can set 8 alarms a day, I would have liked it a little better if there were an option to have it vibrate hourly. This was the only original negative for the watch. However, after a few months the watch started to malfunction. The display wasn't working and it would vibrate randomly. Researching the issue, I found numerous Q & A's with the same issue. The manufacturer claims the battery only lasts 3 months. This would be a bit of an annoyance in itself as there are five very small screws which need to be removed in order to remove the battery. Even more annoying the strap needs to be removed in order to get to two of these screws. I removed the back of the watch, took the movement out of the case and found that everything worked perfectly WITHOUT changing the battery. However, once back in the watch body, it returned to a non-working state. A new battery did not remedy this situation. At $35 if it lasted a year, it would be reasonable. However, the watch seems clearly to have design issues. I won't buy another or recommend this. It's a shame the execution seems so poor because the concept is great.

The watch truly does work perfectly for setting potty training reminders, through the use of alarms at up to 8 specific times of the day and/or through set time increments. I found the incremental timers easier to use for potty training since the amount of time lengthens. You set the daily start-stop times for the timers, and the timers automatically restart the next day. This feature is so convenient because you don't have to worry about shutting it off each night and turning it back on the next morning (which would never happen if it depended on me). The reason I gave it 4 stars is because my son refused to wear the watch. I tried to wear it (for the reminders) but it was so uncomfortable (bulky/stiff and warm) on the wrist, that I had to take it off after 10 minutes too. I attached it to the handle of his daycare bag, so it goes back and forth between there and home. I put both the vibrate and bells, and we are usually able to hear it. On weekends, I forget to take it out of the house with us, and potty training goes out the window. The light is useless, and I never use it. The good news is that once the timers are set, I rarely need to look at it. Overall, I highly recommend for potty reminders.

My son was very excited about the functionality of this watch, but it was very buggy. The biggest issue we're having is that whenever an alarm or timer goes off, his watch is completely resetting to Saturday 12:00. We've tried everything and just have to keep resetting it over and over. Very annoying... Also, despite setting it to vibrate only, it always does the beep and vibrate alarm. Other things that work fine (so far) but are just annoying: -no way to turn the beep off when you press buttons - timers are difficult to set, and can only be min 15 minutes. He really wanted something that could do 5 minutes or less - timers cannot vibrate, only beep Will be pretty tricky to change out the battery when needed. Pulled it apart to see if another watch band would fit and getting it back on was a doozy. I'll probably order one more replacement to see if that one functions any better, but then try to find something else. Nothing has timers unless we go up to a smart watch! (Which I don't want to do)

OVERVIEW: If you are seeking an excellent potty-training watch, while willing to learn slightly complex watch settings, I highly recommend it. The watch seems to be well built, and a good (but not great) Velcro adjustable strap. It utilizes a *very* common battery (CR2032). Compared to other comparable potty-training watches that need to be charged every two days, this is fantastic. However, in the case of my grandson, the Velcro band was too big to be practical, so I called the company. Located in Knoxville Tennessee (hence the name “Knox Watches”…stupidly obvious but overlooked on my part), I can attest that their customer support is beyond good, IT’S FANTASTIC! The woman on the phone was patient, helpful, and resolved all of my problems. For example, I told her that the watch band was too big for my grandson, and they were very accommodating. The directions for turning on “Alarm and/or Vibration” are confusing, but it’s not as bad as it sounds. Simply: Press B – to advance to “Alarm Mode” Press D – 1 time to turn on the alarm, 2 times to turn on the vibration, or three times to turn on both alarm and vibration. The above excerpt is directly from their instruction book, but the alarm settings are the same for *BOTH* the timer and the 6 optional alarms. So, if like me your timer isn’t reminding your child to use the bathroom, use the steps above to turn on either (or both) the alarm and vibrate settings. This point can’t be underestimated: WHEN YOU SET THE ALARM, you set ***BOTH*** the timer and the alarm sounds (there is no way to set separate signals for alarm or timer), which IMO is very reasonable. I’ve seen many reviews ask how to stop the timer alarms. As a grandparent who has his grandchild only partial time, yes, you do need to stop the watch from beeping/vibrating while your grandchild is away. But, you don’t need to shut off the timer, just turn off the sound and vibration (using the steps above). Although I agree with the Knox representative that a loud audible alert tone can be disturbing in a classroom situation, I think they missed the point. A vibration alarm is intentionally meant to be discreet, meaning only the wearer knows of it. In a healthy classroom environment where the instructor is aware of a particular child’s need to maintain a schedule, one would hope that they would accommodate such. However, the audible alert is too quiet, and as such, will never gain the attention of the wearer. In my opinion Knox is wrong; the audible alert should be as loud as possible (based on capability of the electronics and the piezzo electronic element in the watch). Of course I understand Knox’s position that they want to sell these to school-age students and disrupting the classroom is problematic, but I think the vibration alert is sufficient. So why not make the audible alert loud? My grandson has trouble both urinating prior to having an accident, and soiling his pull-up. I think that is where this watch is great in that you can set (in my case) hourly reminders to urinate, and up to 6 alarms to remind him to sit on the pot and do his #2 business. Without historical data, I can’t confirm this will work, but I’m giving it the 'old college try' as they say. My tentative plan is to set the 6 watch timers; 1 and 2 hours after every meal. Fingers crossed. CONCLUSION: If the company relented on making the audible alarm so loud that it would wake up a sound sleeper, I'd be tickled pink. However, personal experience has shown that a Marching Band wouldn’t wake up my grandson, so what can I reasonably expect from a watch? It’s a fantastic product with lots of thought given to its design, programming, and special features (like “Lock”, that prevents my grandson from changing things). SUGGESTION TO KNOX: Change your manual to say “Please refer to our FAQ page at..." There is little need to reprint your manual if you reference a webpage. BOTTOM LINE: Highly recommend, wonderful capability, and fantastic customer support. No regrets purchasing this product.

Great idea - poorly manufactured product. The watch looks great and works fine. However, after just a couple of weeks one of the brackets that holds the wrist strap pin in place broke. There is no way to fix the broken bracket since it is molded plastic. This renders the watch useless. I am literally 3 days outside of the return period (I waited a week to file a return-- my fault) and can't exchange it for a replacement. I did not realize it when I bought the watch initially, but this watch is NOT waterproof. You would think that for $35 it would be water proof or at least water resistant. I'm not sure that they considered who would be wearing these watches.......young boys who play outside a lot. They ride bikes, play in sprinklers, play sports, etc. The watch is not "rugged" enough. I would not buy this product again.

I bought this watch for my 8 year old son who has been having problems getting to the bathroom. He usually gets so distracted by what he's doing that he doesn't listen to his body when he has to go, so he has accidents. We decided to give this a try. Since it has so many alarms, we are able to set it so that his alarm goes off every 2 hours while he's awake as a reminder to use the bathroom. This accomplishes two things: 1) I don't have to be the potty police anymore, constantly nag or get upset when he doesn't communicate his bathroom needs, and 2) it makes him responsible for himself while making him think about what his body is doing and how he's feeling. We've had this watch for a week and a half, and he has yet to have an accident! He's also more communicative when his alarms goes off and we're not near a bathroom (i.e.- driving or at the store). All he says is that his alarm went off. I'll ask if he has to use the bathroom right away (he usually says no), and then he makes sure he gets to a potty as soon as we can. One of his favorite features is the vibration. This way the alarm is noticeable only to him, so he doesn't have to alert anyone else (usually his friends) that something is going on. He can just politely excuse himself to take care of business. One of my favorite features is the button lock. This way he can turn off the alarm sound without accidentally turning the entire alarm off or changing the time. Great product. So far holding up well, but even though this is made for people with "delicate or small wrists" I find the strap is still a little too long. But nothing we can't handle. :)

Defective! Received watch, set it up, set an alarm to test it, and the alarm will not stop beeping! The alarm sounded when it was supposed to. It is not vibrating at all though. And the watch has been beeping for over an hour. Instructions say alarms sounds for 15 second but mine won't stop and there's no way to stop it manually. I thought if i disconnected and reconnected the battery it would reset. I open the backing and there's a sticker covering the entire mechanism that says "DO NOT REMOVE". How does one replace the battery then? The sticker looks to be holding something other than the battery in place. The watch stopped beeping with the back cover off. But once back cover is replaced, it starts beeping again. I hope the return location will accept a beeping package! Be warned!

My toddler needed reminders about when to go pee! He was always so busy at school and this watch is amazing. The vibration alarm stays on for 10 seconds and then you can set it to go on/off whatever duration you need! So great!

the strap busted after only 6 days of wearing it. waste of Money

I've had it 3 months and now the alarm has malfunctioned and has been going off for days. Will try and contact customer service.
