Jacquard Pearl EX Set (Series 1)

You will be aghast at the shimmering textures of these pigment powders (titanium dioxide, the same ingredient in quality house paints) which mixed and spread excellently using only denatured alcohol and when mixed with a MinWax clear coast product. For example, the gold tone looks like gold leaf. The particles are very fine and produce and exotic effect when applied. Coat before any surface sanding to preserve a perfect highly reflective color saturated effect.

This pack gave me a wide variety of metallic (shiny) powders to mix with alcohol and use in paintings. I loved the variety and would have never thought about ordering Russet or Bronze, but love the both, as well as the silver, the two shades of gold, pearl, etc. Great buy!

These work perfect on polymer clay. I used a tiny paint brush and brushed on a very little amount and when they came out of the oven they looked great. A little goes a very long ways and this will last me forever.

I've added the Jacquard Pearl EX Powdered Pigments with several mediums while working on gourds and love them! 1) I got some beautiful base shimmer by adding Pearl EX to leather dye using a dauber to apply and cotton pad to smooth. 2) Achieved spectacular highlights on foreground areas by adding Powdered Pigments to India Ink and brushing it on. 3) I added Pearl EX Powdered Pigments to Gourd Master Ink Dye to add a nearly transparent metallic effect over acrylic paints. 4) I added them to a sealing agent just for kicks, and got the metallic effect, but it was much more difficult to control. These Powdered Pigments are incredibly versatile and less than half the price of the identical item sold by leading a "gourd art" supplier..

I use a lot of the mica colors with my poly clays. I think the Jacquard brand is the best. The colors are bright. The powder is super fine and soft. This is my 4th set, and won't stop there

Oh, you have no idea how I wanted to love these. I ordered to use with resin clay. Easy to use and incorporated into the clay. My disappointment is, when they dry, the color is nice, but no resemblance or even a hint of 'metallic', which is specially why I purchased these. Perhaps I was expecting too much. If 'metallic' is not important to you, then I would highly recommend this product. The colors are lovely, with a just a hint of pearlization.

These pigments are Awesome! I just wish I would have ordered darker set colors. I ordered a more natural color palate by accident, but still very pleased with this product! It brings depth to my clay sculptures.

I'm mostly pleased that I now have a varied selection of mica colors to choose from/. The quantity is perfect for myself and it was priced affordably. The need for special affects as for example highlighting is achieved with mica crystals. I plan to order more colors if available in the same small quantity.

J'utilise ces paillettes pour réaliser des maquillages sur des poupées, elles sont de bonnes qualité et jolies comme tout ! A fixer avec un vernis pour ne pas qu'elle s'effacent avec le temps.
