This is getting a bit tiresome. Plot ok ,but left up in the air, not ok. Review: An "okay" thriller...... - Exciting and held attention, but did not "wrap" it up or tie it together at all at the end. Could have been better.

Just stupid. I forwarded to the end
Just stupid. I forwarded to the end, just because I wanted to see how it ended...but completely missed it because my electronics held my attention.

Both actor and actress were not easily read as villain or victim
Dead of Winter captured my interest in the casting of the two main characters. Both actor and actress were not easily read as villain or victim. You need to watch the entire movie to figure out who dun it. The spin with the spiked drinks keeps you wondering if the events are real or if they are memorex. The cell phone calls mix in an element of the supernatural, which is not easily determined as to where the natural, hallucination or supernatural cross each other. All in all, it keeps you on your toes and even then I did not guess who dun it.

Happy New Year!
...is I think the message this movie's trying to convey. Take the Blair Witch Project, plus a cell phone, minus the Blair Witch, plus a dumb sheriff, minus any scares, plus some bad LSD and you get this. Also, it's hard to get into a horror movie that's filmed like a TV melodrama.
