Bad Air Sponge 2lb. Container (3002N), Blue

I’ve been using these for years and love them! I live in an older home and this is the one item I found to help keep my basement smelling good. I recommend them!

At first I was hesitant and just said what the heck. When I got it it was a weird smell, did not like it. But it works and I love it!

It certainly distracts from the smell of dead mouse (we couldn’t find it). It smells strongly of moth balls, according to my mom. It is hard to say whether it “absorbs” the smell (whatever that really means), but for a while it definitely overpowered the mouse smell. Eventually, and this is gross description coming up, the dead mouse probably decomposed more and began overpowering the diminishing moth ball smell and we just decided it’d be worth the effort to cut open the backing of the couch to look for the mouse there (we indeed found it there and the smell went away almost immediately). The product over time seemed to shrivel up, but I don’t know whether that’s good or bad. I would recommend this product if you can tolerate moth ball smell, and would say it is much more tolerable than dead mouse smell and more consistently effective than spraying air freshener (which for dead mouse you would have to spray every 30min or so). Put it close to the source of the offending smell if you know where it is, or where it smells the most strongly. You may want to close it up at night to keep away from curious pets.

I love these things. They work so good at eliminating odors without having a perfume smell in your room. Highly recommended! We have a stinky dog and this works great.

This product needs to make it safer around pets and kids. Seal the product and put small holes in the lid so it can be mostly sealed. The smell is alright. Not sure if I’d like my house smelling like this though. A bit of a chemical smell Bit pricey

I have used Bad Air Sponges in 1 pound to 5 gallon sizes in commercial buildings for about 25 years. I have found nothing better. While they are more expensive than the products sold in big box stores, they are more effective and last much longer making them a better value. The fragrance is pleasant and not overwhelming. It makes a building smell clean. I use the smaller 14 oz. containers for bathroom air freshening in my house. The two pound product I use to freshen a disposal unit for adult diapers. Each time I empty the container and place a new bag in it, I shave a couple spoonful of the bad air sponge with a putty knife and drop it in the bag. It beats the liquid citrus deodorant hands down IMO.

The Bad Air sponge clears the basement area of all odours....after a long winter of having the house closed up....it refreshed the basement in a short time. Great product, we have used it for a few years now

Maybe it’s just me. I hardly see any difference with or without it.
