18" 22-lbs Outdoor Living Heavy Duty Round Antiqued Patio Umbrella Base (22LB)

Works as designed - we’ve purchased 3 now. Holds the umbrella down well, easy set up and has only blown over in very high winds (could probably weight it down more for those instances).

The base where the umbrella pole is inserted does not stay tight and loosens. The base is not heavy enough for the umbrella. The first rain storm with winds and the umbrella blew over. Rain storm came a week after my return expired. Would not recommend this product unless you have a very small and light umbrella.

Mrs. Banks, here - this is a terrific umbrella stand: great color and sturdy as hell. My old stand's diameter (2 in/5+cm) was too large for the umbrella openings in my new Outdoor Interiors hardwood drop-leaf table, which is 1.75. This stand has a snapshot that indicates that the top measures 4.5cm (+-1.77 in) - this is not so. The pipe is 1.77, but it has a cap assembly on the top that brings it to 5+cm/2 in, so too big for my table. I had the ingenuity to remove the top cap, put the table over the stand and then replace the top cap assembly. The reducing rings provided made for a ridiculously snug fit, and I am very pleased. I am telling you all this because the top cap assembly is not made with removal in mind and was a beast to remove. It consists of a screw on cap what's female end is oh-so tightly installed in the pipe. I pried it up enough to get a channell lock around the portion of the female end underneath the threads - any other way would have crushed the threads so that the cap could not screw back on. It was super easy to put back on, thankfully. Was it worth it? Yes. But it took time and ingenuity. ;)

Great umbrella stand! Not very heavy but sturdy enough to hold up my umbrella perfectly! Easy assembly also. Looks awesome on my patio. I’ll probably order another one for my second umbrella.

The item cracked right in half, while holding the umbrella, out on my deck. It started with a very thin crack and without doing anything to it, it started to crack. It continued to crack, a little deeper each day for approximately a week, then I noticed it was actually cracked in half. I do not recommend this product.

I've had this less than a month so I cant say how it will be in the long run yet. But this is a very sturdy and heavy base. Very nice and also delivered on time. I will update if there should be an issue with it but so far I am pleased with my purchase.

It is a solid base and it works fine but the color is goldish. It is very different from the product picture on Amazon. I will keep it as it is a hassle to return. If I knew that the color is more like gold, I would not have purchased it.
