I open my cupboard and say, "hello you.... old friend........."
Best-loved mix for Chicken Curry Masala. The instructions for the recipe are on the back, making it easy to make at home! Tastes like the top-rated, most popular dish among Indian food enthusiasts! I love this, it takes me back to a good place in time. When I open my cupboard and see it I smile and say, "Hello you... old friend, I think I might make you tonight and savor in your sweet, smoky spices. Take me to your home country and let me bask in your flavor." Quite dramatic you say? No, no.... It's not enough to just make a dish. I live in a place with only 3 kinds of restaurants within a 3 hour drive: American (what we call "Grease-on-a-spoon"), Mexican, and Chinese. I love it here, but there is absolutely no cultural cuisine unless it comes from my own kitchen! So this brings me to a perfectly simple and delicious taste of culture beyond the dish itself. I had a box of this I bought in Phoenix years ago, and it lasted a really long time. Since I had tried some other mixes for the same dish, but they never turned out like this one. The flavors blend so seamlessly together for a truly cohesive Indian cuisine night! Glad to have found it again. A little goes a long way, but this is one of my best-kept secrets for Masala. Everyone loves it! Sometimes I actually add a little coconut milk to it as well, depending on how I'm feeling, but the recipe on the back is still the best. You can make it as mild or as spicy as you like, and if it's too spicy for someone they can always add a little yogurt to tone it down. I hope everyone who tries this likes it as I do! It's the best! :)

Great seasoning quality!
My daughter in law is from India and loves this product so much she has me buy it when I go to India to visit. It’s not available in India. She uses it in many of her recipes. Great seasoning quality.

Not My Favorite Curry Spice!
I tried this chicken curry masala, and it wasn’t as yummy as I thought it would be. It made my food taste kind of funny, not spicy in a good way, just too much! It didn’t make my chicken taste yummy like the curry my mom makes, and I didn’t like the flavor at all. I wish it was more tasty and less spicy-icky. The smell was kind of strong too, and it didn’t make my kitchen smell like yummy food. Instead, it smelled a little too spicy and not in a fun way. I thought it would be like a magic flavor sprinkle, but it just didn’t work for me. Why did the curry go to the party? Because it wanted to spice things up, but it was too much for everyone! This spice might work for some people, but I think I’ll stick to the curry my mom makes. I don’t think I’ll use this one again!

Absolutely amazing. Slightly spicy but not enough to make you ...
Absolutely amazing. Slightly spicy but not enough to make you cry. Personally I would go for chicken thigh boneless (we are Americans - no bones please). We can eat this all day everyday.
