DAP Plaster of Paris (Dry Mix), White, 4 Lb Box (7079810308)

I bought a box of this to mess around with making castings and instantly became obsessed because it is so easy and fun. Cures super fast and it's fun to play with, I like to spread it on different things to copy the pattern and put it in molds. Really fun hobby with satisfying results. I use 65:100 ratio of water to plaster, by weight. Creates super solid castings that I can't break with my bare hands even though they are only 1.5" thick. Works really well with acrylic enamel paint.

It's classic. Quick and easy, and a nice size for small crafts.

I used this to match the stippling for my ceiling where I had a puncture. This worked really well and matched the existing color and texture. It’s not perfect but it doesn’t stand out at all. Plus I didn’t have to cut the panel as I used a backer board and screwed the drywall back down, which was great. This repair hid well and saved me a ton of time and money.

Very Good plaster

Great for hone repairs, but too grey, imo, for crafts. Obviously, this is not meant for crafts, but it works. It was easy to work with handset quickly. I did notice there were mkre bubbles than the craft version. That being said, they came right out.

Used plaster-bandages to create mold then used Vasaline liberally before pouring in the DAP plaster of Paris. I removed it from the cast after an hour and it came out effortlessly and was smooth and the plaster remained soft enough to easily carve in details around the eyes (same day). It didn't seem 100% cured after 24 hours, so I left it out for a total of 48 hours before sealing the front of it... though if only sealing the front, 24 hours would probably have been enough.

I use this product to take out to the field and make 'jackets' for my fossil project. Easy to use and forms a solid case around my work, allowing me to transport back to the shop.

Polvo para elaborar tu propia pasta, excelente para cubrir pequeñas reparaciones domésticas! Me ha sido de gran ayuda, mejor que la pasta ya preparada porque así no se seca y puedes usar lo que necesites.

I'm renovating an old victorian house. I needed to replicate some hand-carved elements over each door. This product worked extremely well. Hardens pretty quickly too. I could then use a brad nail gun to affix them.
