The family loves the nice big balls--my wife especially can't stop complementing me on my big balls, even though they can be a little chilly at times. We use these on a daily basis and the silicone makes it easy to use with no risk of breaking. To use, just fill the water up 3/4 of the way in the solid half, then place the holed top on and place in freezer. The water expands as it freezes filling the round section. If you overfill, the ice just protrudes out the top hole, and breaks off when you open to empty the balls. We're not overly concerned about perfect balls of ice, but the large round spheres last a long time when chilling liquids, so a great find.

Especially if you ignore the instructions. LOL I've been using other ice ball trays and have had problems with both of them. The full silicone with 6 small balls leaks like a sieve and I've repurposed a storage box (shoebox sized) to keep the leaked water from freezing it to the bottom of the freezer. That one takes a second fill to make full ice balls, which is annoying. The 4 large balls tray is only half silicone, with a hard plastic base. It doesn't leak, but getting the top loose and the balls out is extremely difficult at times, since the silicone is flush with the rim on the base. I've had to hold it in front of my heater for minutes to loosen it enough to pry open. So I have the hard surface (storage box) to place them in and I just assemble them, place them in the box, and fill them directly from the sink. Any runoff is caught by the deep sides and they are mercifully easy to pop open. Haven't had to refill for a 2nd run at all, and I'm very pleased with their performance.

I love ice balls for our drinks. These molds are nice that they do, I feed, make ice balls. My only negative is that both sides are silicone and unless you have a flat spot in your freezer to place these then you will have issues with spillage. Also, slightly squeezing them, which is sort of inevitable, will ooze water out of the little hole on top as well. Other than having to be extra careful, they get the job done and make a nice ice ball that is easy to remove from the mold.

Got a set of these for my husband 3-4 years ago. They finally got a hole or split in them and started leaking. But I think for the price, that’s pretty good. Got him the same set as a replacement and he’s very happy. Says they may have improved them from the original purchase. Love these in cosmopolitans and other fancy drinks. No foul taste or smell. They don’t take up much room in the freezer.

I had read in other reviews that there were issues with the water forming a layer in the center of the mold, between each sphere, and that is the case for my units as well. I tried weighting the top cavity with water to make a tighter seal, but that did not work - I still have to break my ice spheres apart and deal with rough edges on otherwise perfectly round orbs. These also melt just about as fast as any cube of ice, to be honest; if they last any longer, I have not really noticed a difference, and these tend to melt on the portion closest to the surface much much faster than the immersed portion, which creates an uneven shape. The result of this product is definitely fun in a drink, but there are undoubtedly products out there that will produce higher-quality results. The price seems reasonably fair for the quality.

Hi I don't often most never write reviews. I've had these bought 4 total. For a while now. They work well. They make ice spheres almost flawlessly if you follow the direction 3/4 fill and freeze. On the company front I received a shipping notification independent of Amazons and a very friendly email inviting me to write this review. So with the company customer service and the good quality of the ice tray I give it 5 stars and speak highly of it to my friends

If you fill the containers 3/4 up, it makes the ice balls as described. Any excess water in the top part of the silicone form, after combining the top and bottom, can be blotted out with a paper towel. Once frozen, it is easy to break away the excess ice by wiggling the forms back and forth. If the balls have a little excess lip, it is easily knocked off with a knife. I really like these ice ball makers. The people who had these ice balls in their drinks at our Christmas and New Year's Eve partys loved them. They kept their drinks colder longer.

I have been wanting these for a few years for my whisky drinks and these work great. The only down side is they were a little bit smaller than I was expecting but they still did the trick.

Las dos partes del molde no encajan del todo bien, asi k las esferas salen unidas entre ellas por una placa mas fina de hielo, k se puede psrtir facil, pero deja rebaba. Tambien son algo complicadas de llenar ya k el agujero es muy pequeño.

These ice moulds are made from very flexible material which makes them very easy to use. The ice spheres are a good size and add to the presentation of cocktails and long drinks alike. I would recommend this item for its simple and efficient operation.
