Wow. This is just the most amazing thing ever.
I'd read reviews that thing this was pretty incredible, and I had conducted a THOROUGH search of night projectors before I settled on this one. I saw all kinds of crazy things in other projectors' reviews. "Wasn't nearly as bright as I thought it would be." "Light burned out after 2 months. Super disappointed." The laser projector industry clearer needs stricter regulations about what claims you can make on the box. Anyway, this Laser Stars Hologram Projector was different. All awesome. It was kind of pricey, but this thing was the only one that didn't seem priced too high to be unattainable or too low to obviously be cheap. I went for it. And do you know what? This projector is outstanding. The second I turned down the lights, my roommate and I stared in sullen silence at the bright green stars floating along our ceiling amongst a sea of soft, blue waves. We reflected on our lives and our choices, and we grew as people and as friends. I kid you not, even my cat, Lola, took a moment out of her day to stop and stare at the ceiling. This wonderful floaty green stars spanned the ENTIRE ceiling (and we have a pretty long one). When people said it was much bigger than they thought it would be, they just hit a home run slam dunk magic trick (i don't play sports). In summation, this thing is going to wow the living daylight (literally) out of all your friends. I just snapchatted a video of it to some people and EVERY SINGLE ONE replied back by text. That's how you know you killed it. Thank you for everything, Laser Stars Hologram Projector team. I look forward to growing old with my new lifelong friend.

Great projector
I don't write a lot of reviews and just had to share our experience for others. After buying another machine that was cheaper - and the stars were just static dots, I returned it and bought this one. I read many reviews on Amazon and other sites to find the best of the best for around $100 or less - and I did. Love this machine - it is just what I wanted. bright green stars that rotate gently - and occasionally, a shooting star! We have a large bedroom and it filled up the whole vaulted ceiling. very pleased of the coverage, heft - it is much weightier than other models (hopefully, that means stronger/better motor and lasers and last longer). I haven't tried bluetooth yet, but super easy to connect. The nebula clouds are great with many color options and very easy to set - you can also determine their speed. Yeah!

Trust the 1 Star Reviews, really, Don't Buy This... :(
I bought this Star Projector on February 19th 2014 and today is June 15th 2014. I just turned it on (4th time of use, since I wanted to use it only occasionally after reading reviews of laser failure), and to my disappointment, the laser failed. No laser, just the 'blue nebula', which is about 5% of what makes the product so attractive... :( It's such a shame, because this item costs over $100, and I've used it for a total of about 5 1/2 hours (and that's actually more of an 'overestimation'), and now it's useless and just terribly disappointing... :( I've taken 'risks' with lots of products that some reviewers said 'failed' on them, and I've never had any issues, so I thought I'd chance it this time, but to my dismay, it failed anyway. All I can advise, is that if you decide to buy this, make sure you USE IT A LOT (like, every chance you get), within the first 30 days, so that if you get a defective/glitchy unit, you can still return it and get a refund, because believe me, it's really disappointing to know that you paid so much money for something that can't even give you a full days worth of happiness. It should be sold as a 'disposable' product, in my opinion. I mean, those little laser pointers don't EVER fail, and they're roughly $10, which is essentially the same as the laser that this projector uses- which makes even less sense that it should fail so inexplicably fast (they must use the absolute CHEAPEST, generic lasers available). Unless you want to pay an additional $90 for a light plastic shell and $10 or so more for a fixed blue 'cloudy' light, then I would recommend that you don't waste your time or money on this. I'm going to try to contact the seller and/or manufacturer and see if they have anything to say or if they are willing to repair/replace this item, and I will certainly update my review (with the date and response) accordingly. It's quite a bummer... :(

Not just a gimmick for stoners...
No, this is not just for those who wish it listen to pink floyd while indulging in illicit substances... This thing is quite cool and a really nice addition to a a bedroom as a night light or maybe something different for say a media or entertainment room. I purchased this as a gift for a friend's home theater room and it's a nice touch to an already neat room! Some of you are wondering how big of an area the projector covers here is the layout for both the clouds and the lasers (this is rough estimates, but pretty close).... Keep in mind this is assuming you have eight foot ceilings with the projector sitting roughly 36" from the floor. Your area of coverage with increase or decrease depending on how far off the ground the unit is and how high your ceilings are. Notably, the dimensions below have the unit at about 40" off the ground and where in a room with a nine foot ceiling. The clouds (or nebula) cover an area of about nine square feet of ceiling or a 3 foot x 3 foot area. Whereas the laser lights (star field) cover an area of ~120 square feet which is an area of 10-10.5 feet x 11-12 feet. This projector fit the ceiling or the theater room perfectly. A very nice addition to an already well done room! The latest model also includes a four hour timer and I have been told it does work! I am thinking I want to order another one of these for my bedroom as the seem pretty neat. Whether you're adding this to a media room, a childs room, or maybe just a different touch in your home it's kind neat and I wouldn't pass it up. I my own opinion it's best left in either a bedroom or a media room but either way it's still a cool gimmick . I don't give this five stars because it feels cheap but I imagine it'll hold up just fine. I guess I just wish if it were coated in either a glossy polymer or light metal.

I love this projector
I love this projector. I use it while I give massages. My clients love it too and several of them have asked me where they can buy one for themselves. This model is the fourth one I have owned in about 16 years. However, if you use these alot, as I do, they seem to have a somewhat limited life span. But still totally worth it. The first one I got at a store (years ago) unfortunately it burnt out super quickly, within a month. Luckily it was still under warranty from the store and I was able to get a replacement. The second one lasted for about 5 or 6 years. However, it eventually burnt out as well. The blue light continued to work but the green stars (which is the main effect) went out completely one day. I wish there was a way to replace the bulb. I purchased another laser stars projector here on Amazon that lasted for several more years. However eventually that one started having a different set of issues. The green light continued to work but went out of focus so each of the stars had a fuzzy hallow around it (which kind of looked cool in it's own way). However, the blue light faded and eventually stopped working all together, and I really missed that nebula effect. I continued to use this for the stars even with it's defects for several more months, but eventually got this new one. So far this one is working really great and I can see some minor changes! The stars look great and appear to self focus very well, better than earlier versions. However, I have the impression of perhaps a bit fewer stars moving about. The motor seems to run quieter than previous versions, which is nice... I notice that you have to turn on the green and blue light separately. Before they would turn on together by pushing the button but you could regulate the amount of blue light by turning a dial. Now there are two completely separate control buttons. To me this change is not really an improvement, but not a big deal. One more change is that now it has an automatic timer that will shut it off if you forget. I think this is a good feature to prolong it's life, however, it can be a little annoying. I have had it turn off in the middle of a massage at times. If I have back to back massages I do need to remember to shut it off and then back on again between massages to prevent this light show interruption. Overall I really love this projector. It has a mesmerizing, relaxing and romantic effect.

one of the most amazing things i have bought for myself
one of the most amazing things i have bought for myself. i don't use this all the time, but when i do im either entertaining my friends with it because it is honestly so cool to just lay back and turn all the lights off and just watch the stars. A bunch of my friends just started listening to music and turned all the lights off and it was just magical. As far as the product goes its a pretty medium/large product, but can easily be nudged in the corner of the room. the colors are vibrant and the movement is so slow and relaxing. such a cool gadget. just make sure not to leave it on ALL the time. and i say that because i read a lot of reviews of people leaving it on and it dies on them. although it has a timer and will do an auto shut off. that does not mean you should leave it on every single night. i mean you can do that, but it would just be a waste sleeping through the show. so before you feel like going into some heavy sleep just turn it off to save battery.

Total Awesomeness!!!!
Forget everything you think you know about projectors. This will blow you away. I have a decent sized bedroom and this fills the entire ceiling plus the walls. It. IS. GORGEOUS. I have shown it to a dozen people and they cannot believe how awesome it is. The stars are green laser. They move. I mean - MOVE. They are in various sizes and there are some stationary ones that do not move but most of them move across the sky, in different directions, and sometimes even cross paths. Then there is the blue nebula cloud, which can be dimmed or brightened and it moves in this beautiful wispy pattern. Nothing ever seems the same and I've used it for about a week. Both of the stars and the cloud can be on independently of each other as well as work together, and there is a timer on both, so if you fall asleep to this beautiful projection, you don't have to worry about it being on all night. Seriously - pictures and videos cannot possibly do this product justice. It is amazing how awesome it is and it will change you perception of what a home projector is. This will not be my last purchase. I will definitely purchase more as gifts.

Green Laser Fails Prematurely
This Projector has problems with the green laser that doesn't last but a couple months or in this case, failing after the First night of use. This is my 3rd purchase of this projector over the past 5 years and all three lose the green laser prematurely. This one failed to Light and just flickered on and off after 2 hours of use. Returning it for a refund
