Good combination of high quality, fairly low weight, great price and apparently user-serviceable ...
There aren't a lot of 27.2 mm choices available at the moment ... but I'm not at all disappointed in this PNW. It replaced a pretty expensive and underwhelming Thompson Elite dropper I've had for about 3 years (the only 27.2 I could get at the time) ... which can't be serviced by me or my local shop -- it's only serviceable by sending back to Thompson. PNW, on the other hand, is supposed to be user servicable and the online videos look like anyone with a little patience and a clean work space can do it (but time will tell.) It weighs a few oz. more than the Thompson ... but still pretty reasonable. I've got this installed on a 2016 Specialized Epic FSR Comp (alum frame) I've got maybe 20 to 30 hours on it so far ... no issues. Easy to install and connect to the Wolf Tooth lever I already had.

Great product
I bought this and the lever kit for my friends bike and it was great. He rides a XC hardtail and this work perfectly for the bike. It was also really easy and enjoyable to install. In all, this is a really good product .

Exactly what I needed
This is exactly what I was looking for to make my older style bike more MTB friendly with a dropper post that actually works.

So far so good!
Iโve used this dropper little since Iโve installed it but I like it so far. Installation is easy if you have some basic mechanical knowledge and if you donโt there are plenty of informative videos available to help. Iโm looking forward to putting it through its paces to see how it holds up. Installed on a CoOp Drt 1.2 hard tail, XL frame. Iโm 6โ2โ the post is fully inserted to the top mark, the extended and compressed heights are perfect for me. The extension speed is slow enough not to bust your walnuts and fast enough to keep your bottom end off the back tire.

Measure the depth and travel.
I purchased an external dropper post for my Surly. 90 mm travel is perfect for me. The trigger action is feather light.

Only compatible with cable set screw actuators
Not all dropper actuators are compatible with this dropper post. My Shimano GRX ST-RX810 drop bar shifter with Brake/Dropper Post Lever requires the control cable end barrel nut (knarp) inserted inside the GRX shifter. This means you will have a wire without a knarp at the end with the dropper post. The knarp opening inside the PNW Pine dropper is too small for a set screw style knarp, I tried grinding a 5mm barrel set screw knarp down so that it could fit in, but it immediately cracked when I tried using it. It is possible to engineer your own knarp ends with lead solder & a torch, but you should probably look for a dropper that accepts a standard 5mm set screw knarp.

Caution! Stopped working randomly after one month.
The dropper post no longer works. It stops halfway as if it doesnt have enough gas to push the seat all the way back.
