Great Keyboard/case for iPad Air
I bought this keyboard case after reading several reviews of different ones for my new iPad Air. I did not want to spend the money on the Folio through Apple. I also felt from reviews that cases that have a Bluetooth connection to the iPad still had many more positive reviews than using the dock feature with the iPad like the Folio. There were a number of the ones in the same price range like this one, but this one had the most positive one and least negative ones that I could disregard. The actual case is basically good and covers my device well. I feel it is well protected overall. I love the feel of the keyboard. It feels pretty close to a natural keyboard to a laptop. The keys do not feel too small or too cramped together. The keys respond real well. It connects to my iPad really well. It has a long charge life so I do not need to recharge it quickly. I bought for the colors as well which are real cool to have on while I use it. My only complaint about this case and keyboard combination is that you have to be mindful of how you open the case. For some reason the magnets on the keyboard do not stay connected to the case when you first open it certain ways. I do not mind that I have to reposition the keyboard to set it up to be used as one with my iPad. It takes a little work to get the iPad into the case, but once you get it in, it is well protected and all cutouts are set for the iPad exactly. The Apple Pencil spots work well for charging and storing was well. Overall, it is a very good product other than when you open up the case in certain positions and the keyboard does not stay connected to the case. Well worth the money spent on this.

Decent
I’ve used this case for a few months and I’d say its controversial of whether or not its a good fit. If you are looking for a case that holds your apple pencil without it falling out. It holds it so well its actually quite annoying to get out of the case. Now, the keyboard. Its a separare piece that has a magnet to attach to the case. Yes, its a magnet ut atraches but you are better off keeping the keyboard separate. To setup the bluetooth you flip the switch on and press connect. Bluetooth is always pretty annoying but it satisfies rhe purpose of having the keyboard If you consistently use a keyboard for the ipad I do not suggest to get this, its more so a pain. Though if you have a not as frequent use its not a bad choice. Aside from the keyboard, the case itself is pretty nice.

Fantastic keyboard-adding photos…and an update
Update #2: there was a problem with the micro USB charging port. I contacted Chesonaus and they immediately sent out a replacement. They are super-responsive and stand behind their keyboard. After using the keyboard for a few months now, I still love it. One suggestion: if you use your keyboard all day, as I do, keeping it plugged in will keep you charged up while working and then it will be charged up if later you’re on the go and will be unplugged. Battery life is good, but that has helped me since I use it all day long. Also: make sure to turn the back-lighting off during the day. I didn’t even think about that and was leaving it on all the time. Now that I turn it off when I don’t need it, and change the level as needed (usually the lowest setting works fine b/c I use it in dark settings), it lasts a lot longer. Update: I found a great use for the keyboard protector: when I need to have the keyboard separate from the case, or when I’m using the keyboard for my phone, I lay the protector on any desk or other hard surface to keep the keyboard secure. It does a perfect job of holding the keyboard in place while typing. Since I don’t really use the keyboard protector otherwise, it works great for that. Pros • easy connection • incredibly long battery life • very protective • I love that I can take the keyboard off and use it in my lap, or to the side of my ipad. • the keyboard also works great with my phone! • it has an apple pencil holder, which my old one did not, and I lost my pencil! • the top row of function keys are a huge convenience. There’s even a delete key. A delete key! On an iPad! • the keyboard is a tad bit small, but not by much, and it has to be that size to fit my 11” iPad Pro. • keyboard feel and function is great. • there’s a lip on the case, as well as small bumpers on each corner of the keyboard, so the the screen doesn’t touch the keyboard when it is closed • very responsive and helpful customer service Cons • What’s not to like?? ;-) • Actually, the only con for me was that this keypad isn’t backlit. I really need that, and Chesona customer support was super-responsive and helpful in getting me one that is backlit. The backlit version is a bit more expensive, but still a great price. And for those who don’t need backlit keys, this is a superb keyboard and case, and an amazingly low price.

Great Product....could use one fix
I really like this product. I was worried because it was half the price of some other ones out there, but I like to try new things. My friend and I both have the same iPad, and he bought the $119 dollar one, and I bought this one. We compared ours together and there are things he really likes about mine that his does not have. 1. The hideaway slot for the pen when you close it up is really nice. Your pen is protected and won't fall out. 2. The detachable keyboard is really cool. My friends does not detach so it is always on the cover. Mine, I can actually put my iPad propped up, and have the keyboard 2 feet away. Believe it or not, that is really nice when you are showing thing and sharing the screen. Plus you don't have to have it in your face all the time. 3. This is just as sturdy as the expensive one, so Kudos to not sacrificing quality. NEGATIVE: The little keyboard rubber cover is a pain in the butt. I wish they would have made it a little more "functional". It is essentially like a car cover....it's no good when you're using the iPad. You can't type with it on because it moves and is not firmly attached...like a Mac book keyboard cover. It also falls off every time you open the iPad. It is not attached or firm enough to stay on, so if you turn the iMac to show someone or move it around, it will fall off and get dirty on the floor. I have now come to conclusion that I take it off when I am working, and only leave it on there to protect the keyboard when it is closed....it's pretty eneffective. Maybe I just got one that was not done properly. OVERALL THIS IS BETTER than wasting your money on the expensive ones, I like it.

insanely cheap hack for best magic forty dollar iPad keyboard. You’re welcome.
So the keyboard and iPad cover are great. iPad Pro, pencil, and keyboard all fold up neatly and everything works as it should, battery life is good, connection has been solid, perfect alternative to the overpriced version. However, the silicone cover was making me crazy. I didn’t know how much i needed a silicone cover until I realized it came with one to protect the keys from dust and probably a good thing to keep between the plastic keyboard and the screen of my very precious device too. So going sans silicone was not an option... I hunted and I hunted for a replacement or some cost less option because i was also done spending money on the keyboard at that point. AND then, it happened, I had a stroke....of GENIUS. See photo: The white pieces of tape are unrelated, ignore them, I found one of those extra long rubber bands in my drawer and it fits perfectly andI can still type as it manages to keep the silicone piece in place. Just have to keep it at the top row because i use it the least so it doesn’t get in the way, and no its not the attractive option but i can live with that since I just fold it back up when im not using it anyway. Or you can spend $300 on the apple version. Sucker.

Good ... but the Apple one is MUCH better.
This is very, very good. But it's just inconvenient enough in terms of positioning the iPad (relying on the tripod design, instead of a mount), that we didn't really end up using it. It's much less elegant to fold up and take out. It doesn't quite have the magical "perfection" feel. Usually I wouldn't need this, but in this case seemingly it was a deal-breaker. My boyfriend finally broke down and got the actual Apple version. While more expensive, it is more elegant, more robust, charges more easily, and the trackpad is a huge value-add.

Protective case
This has been a great case so far! I’ve had it for about six months now and no damage has happened at all. The keyboard feels a little cheap and is super thin, but it connects to my iPad every single time and is magnetic to the case itself so you can use it like a laptop. The case is great because you can use it in so many different settings like shown in the video. The protection of the screen and cameras are great when you set it down they never touch the surface . Overall great case for the price. Super happy with it!

One of my favourite iPad accessories!
I use my iPad for work and play every day. It is one of my favourite tools, and I use it for everything from office automation to video editing to general entertainment. It’s so versatile! Consequently, I love gadgets and accessories for enhancing my iPad experience. This case is one of the better ones that I have. CONS: - my hub doesn’t attach as well as I would like - the space bar can be weird in Pages (but that may be my fault) - I wish I could rotate the screen to portrait PROS: - once paired, the keyboard consistently connects without issues - the case is robust - the iPad clicks in easily, but also feels safe - the folio stays properly closed (I never worried that it would accidentally open) - the charging/data transfer cable attaches securely to the iPad with the case on. - the keyboard charges quickly with the cable provided, and the charge lasts a long time (I charged it once when I bought it and haven’t needed to charge it since - about 6 weeks) - the case works well with my edge-to-edge screen protector. - the case looks professional and modern - I like the silicone keyboard protector and always put it over the keys when not in use - the user guide is easy to understand - I like that you can completely remove the keyboard when you don’t need it. I would recommend this case. (Note: this keyboard is not backlit, but the iPad screen is usually bright enough that it doesn’t need to be)

Looks good but had to return as far too heavy. It was heavier than the ipad!
Too heavy and functionality was not to my liking so returned it

Underrated, great keyboard case
Awesome, but underrated product (it doesn’t come up on top review videos on Youtube). Fits my iPad very well. Love the Apple pencil compartment. Lovely detachable keyboard. Worth every penny and it’s only a small fraction of the price of Apple and Logitech keyboard cases (which lack these awesome details and features that this one offers).
