A fantastic and very capable telescope
This was my first telescope and must I say it's a big boy lol. It was decently simple to put together but take your time with it.. things can start looking the same with the mount pieces especially so really look at the pictures in the instructions and once it's all put together it's easy to use. The stand is very light weight and very adjustable. (All aluminum) A HUGE tip here: I've learned the real trick to getting the best views when it comes to telescopes and viewing objects further away especially... is having a wide range of decently quality eye pieces. The scope itself is just the motor... And it's got power, but the power is useless unless it has somewhere to go.. and having the proper lenses and eye pieces is truly the key to actually seeing clearly what you're trying to see. I went with the Celestron lense case that cost around $190 and was very pleased with the array of choices. Also anything in the lens catigory thats "Barlow" is good stuff and the standard. Just know that you really get what you pay for when it comes to this stuff... A lens from China will never be as good as a Barlow lens from Germany. Period. There's no short cuts with this lens stuff. You want good pictures, then you gotta pay a litte more. For beginners: using a manual telescope like this is good practice to getting the hang of what it actually takes to view the cosmos. We don't think about it, but in looking at space objects even the moon, you are literally "chasing" the objects in the night sky. We don't think about it, but the earth is always spinning and moving and thus, the objects your trying to see are also in constant slow motion, so be ready to constantly adjust the scope in micro adjustments. It's pretty fun actually but can be annoying if your still new to all this. Love the scope, love the stand, love the set up and the look. This scope can do so much more if only it's paired with the right array different lenses and sizes. 😎👍 It truly does make the difference between a foggy or fuzzy image vs a perfectly clear and correct distance. The scope set up is pretty big so be sure to have some space available when you use it in your home or yard. I'd also recommend getting a travel case as this setup doesn't have anything to protect it when traveling. (I just saved all the packaging/boxes it shipped with and carefully put each piece back in it's package and keep it safe from being damaged that way. Good luck!

Great starter telescope
This is a great starter telescope. We have not got to check out the moon yet due to its positioning (we have trees a certain direction which limit us) and it has been COLD outside, but we did get to look at Jupiter and were able to see the moons! Funny enough, we were using the 20mm lens thinking it was the stronger one. Wasnt until after that we realized the 10mm is stronger. The stand is pretty steady but not perfect. As long as you dont hit it, it is fine. We were able to use the knobs to adjust the telescope without it causing any problems. My only complaint is the install instructions, but I am fairly certain that is all on me considering a lot of the others mentioned how easy it was to put together. Ill clarify, it wasnt hard to put together, but I was not sure which way things should be facing in order for the knobs to do what I wanted. I know this is a me problem and not a telescope issue which is why I did not deduct any stars. All in all, great telescope! FAR exceeds the $120 telescope I had purchased before.

Better Than I Hoped
The packaging was exceptional: parts were protected and all the pieces were new. The instructions were clear and, as long as you're IKEA trained (lol), putting this telescope together is not a problem. I was a little confused with which lenses did what because I am a new user to telescopes of this magnitude, but a little Google search and I was on my way to see the moon (see pictures attached). In fact, I was able to just take pictures using my phone right into the eyepiece. My kids and I were awed at the largeness and clarity! It's a little tough to pinpoint specific parts in the sky manually, but with a little practice, I'm sure I'll get better at it. Perfect telescopes for beginners! Also, this telescope and stand aren't heavy, so the portability is easy.

Best bang for your buck!
This is a really good telescope! There were a couple of small issues I had with it, but overall this is a great telescope for beginners. It allows you to see a large range of objects, and it is fairly easy to set up. Pros: - Pretty easy set up. The instructions were confusing, but the actual process was very easy. - Good starting selection of eyepeices. I love all of the options provided, a 20mm, 10mm, an extender, and even a phone mount. On top of that you get a very nice moon filter. I personally got an additional eyepiece kit, which I would also recommend. - The telescope cap has a smaller circular cap which is helpful if you want to let less light in. - The placement of the knobs makes adjusting the view and following object simple. Cons: - The finding scope is super close the telescope, which makes it incredibly difficult to use. I might try to look for a different one. - The eyepieces provided come in bottles rather than having caps. - There is no bag or case for transporting the telescope. - There was a small piece of bubbled up paint on the bottom of the finding scope, which I had to cut off before I could slide it into place. - There was a small peice of plastic curled up in one of the eyepieces which I thought was a spider lmao, it was easy to get out. Overall this telescope is actually way better than I expected. I personally decided to get this paired with an eyepiece kit, which comes with several additional filters and 3 eyepeices (20mm, 12.5mm, and 6mm). Getting the 6mm was especially helpful, it makes this little telescope a beast!

Poor image quality.
Poor quality. Not the most expensive and not the cheapest either. I expected the image to be better. Image quality is vey poor. I think a standard pair of binoculars would give a better image. Disappointing

This is a wonderful telescope
This is a great telescope. Definitely grateful for the price. I'll currently in the process of upgrading this telescope. I also like the fact that the manufacturer have plenty of accessories that are available on their website. I do recommend if you are purchasing this telescope, you want to make sure you have tools to align it to get the best view. Also, there are plenty of YouTube videos out there to help you maximize this awesome telescope. I've captured plenty of video but I was able to upload only one here on Amazon per this review and I wanted to upload the capture I did of Jupiter. The one and only draw back that I have with this telescope is with this main mirror. The main mirror does not come with a decal that marks the exact center of the main mirror. This may be difficult for those who are just starting out or learning about collimation. You can center it if you have a laser much easier than using a Cheshire. While upgrading and doing maintenance on my telescope, I took the main mirror out in indicated the exact center of the mirror with a small mark. Once I did that, using a Cheshire became much more easier to collimate this telescope. Other than that it is really a great telescope.

Amazing telescope
I love the telescope because it's easy to setup and use, providing clear views of planets, the moon and deep sky objects. Great budget option with a good and lot of accessories.

Okay scope for the money
Scope required collimation and still isn't as well collimated as it could or should be. No collimation tool shipped with the scope so I had to purchase one. Finder scope that came with it is just about useless. Couldn't get the finder zeroed on a target no matter what I did. Not enough adjustments in the mount to get the finder on target with any precision whatsoever. Ended up buying a HUD finder device and mounted that on tube. Haven't set it up yet, but hopefully it will resolve the finder scope issue? Fingers crossed. Instructions provided with product lacking in many areas, especially collimation. States the product might need collimation, but does not provide info on how that is achieved. Thank God for YouTube! Due to weather I've only had brief glimpses of the moon and the sun using an appropriate solar filter. Reasonably clear image of the moon and was able to see sunspots on the sun. Still waiting to check out Jupiter and some nearby galaxies. That said, for the money I feel it is an okay starter scope, but be prepared to mod and correct various issues. Since I like to tinker I'm looking at this scope as a challenging project with a learning curve. It remains to be seen if the effort and expense will be worth it though...
