The most solid-feeling flask I've owned.
I've used this several times now, and it's great! Most flasks are pretty s***** quality, but this one seems solid. The finish seems thick and durable, I don't think it'll wear off soon. There is a really solid rubber o-ring seal inside the cap rather than one of those cardboard seals that a lot of cheap ones have. The cap and cap-hinge are plastic, but they feel pretty strong. I have thrown this in a motorcycle bag without worrying about it leaking on all my clothes, I've also had it in my back pocket for nights out and didn't worry about it. The mouth is pretty wide compared to most flasks, i'd say a little shy of 1/2" wide rather than about 1/4".It is worth noting that this flask is of a much different shape than a traditional flask that most people imagine when they think of a flask. It is more of a teardrop shape when viewed from above with the thicker part being toward the mouth of the flask. So it is not the curved, thin profile that a lot of flasks have, but I thought it still seemed fine in a back pocket.

Easy fix for cap problem!
Was pissed at this product at first. Been a mechanic for 8 years and I couldn't get the lid off without pliers, they're tight. The problem: is that the threads are not made well in the cap, or on the flask depending on which engineer you ask. The threads bind and stick resulting in your booze being trapped and you spilling it as you destroy the cap.The easy fix: put a good quantity of water in the flask. Heat the metal threads with a lighter, tighten the cap, invert the flask to cool and "set" the new thread profile, repeat until satisfied.I had to do this 3-4 times but now it works easily and still seals. I can invert my flask and squeeze it and it won't leak.*NOTE* The metal does not need to be red hot for this. This plastic will change shape at 200-300 degrees F. It may help to scrape the side of the first thread with a knife to remove large burrs, be gentle, it won't take much. :)

Not necessarily hip friendly, but hipster friendly?
Classic Stanley design and texture. The mouth is wider than a normal flask allowing for a smoother pour( or bigger gulp). The lid is nice and big, easy to screw on and off, and secure. These don’t fit neatly into a pocket like a normal hip flask would, but this is more of a throw it in a bag kind of flask. If your pockets are big enough, it’ll work though. I also don’t get any odd tastes that I have in the past with cheaper flasks. Well worth the money and it’s classic. Also possible to fill without a funnel unlike most flasks.

Fanstastic flask
I love this flask!I've had quite a few of the regular-style hip flasks and almost every one of those that have said they were 8 oz., were actually a bit under. This flask is just a bit more than 8 oz. Very happy for accurate measurements. My flask is the Hammertone Green. It is the same kind of coating you get on a standard Stanley thermos. One of the pics makes it look like a painted design, but it is not - it's just like the thermos. The screw top is quite rugged, but it is just a tad difficult to get it to line up on the threads. That's probably my only complaint, and it's pretty minor.

Larger than expected, seems sturdy
As other reviewers have said, it's larger than I was expecting. However, I find it fits comfortably in the front pocket of jeans (Men's 38, standard fit) and my coat's breast pocket. The lid and mouth are over-sized to make opening/closing and drinking from easier than a standard size flask. I haven't noticed the 'sloshing' sound when I walk that standard flasks make. It feels sturdy and well-made but I'm a little dubious about its durability as it was made in China.Update: I've had this flask for a year now and it's held up very well. I've used it about two dozen or so times and it shows no sign of wear. There is no lingering smell from previous liquids and you can put it in the dishwasher without issue. My only complaint is the size, it's a bit bulky when carried in the pants. I hope they make a slimmer 4-6oz version of this some day.

Its Stanley, its gonna last.
I love this flask. I have gotten lots of compliments on it, which is odd because I am not a big drinker so it isn't used all that often. Its durable, sleek and easy to slide into a pocket. It is made by Stanley so I know it will last for a very long time. I've had it for around 2 years so far and its still amazing.

best ever used
this flask is far superior to the puney pocket flasks out there, lets face it 3-5oz is not enough. the quality surpasses all the small ones with the tiney caps. this one appears to be silver soldered on the top and bottom with quality components. the only negative I think of is the cap has a plastic holder for when its open. but it isn't a factor. I use mine for scotch when its warm and black-berry brandy when its cold. the large opening is excellent for washing. As usual amazon does a better than average job shipping everything, all around excellent online purchasing experience.

really unique!
Really an attention getter. The fact that it appears to be a smaller, cuter version of my stanley thermos, I love it! There are a number of Mexican, Guatemalan, Salvadoran restaurants popping up around here that don't have liquor licenses (stay with me here) so I fill up with Bacardi before I leave home and order Coke. Problem solved! Occasionally a lifted eyebrow from the staff, but more often just a grin.
