Gilmour Metal Front Threaded Hose Nozzle

I've been using these nozzles, unchanged, for around 60yrs, and if you got, say, 5yrs or more out of one, because the spring inside will eventually rust out, you could run down to the hardware store and plunk down a $1.99 for another one! Ahh, the good old days! I guarantee you, when they were selling them for 2 bucks each and doing just fine, they weren't making the profit they're making today! But then they probably weren't paying the CEO millions then either!

This nozzle is a must-have for anybody who wants to rock it in the yard. The Gilmour is basically the Rolex of nozzles. It always looks good in my hand, I look cool using it, and it pretty much goes with whatever outfit I'm wearing that day. It also waters stuff good.

I usually purchase cheap hose nozzles. Big mistake. I bought two of these and my children will probably get them some day.

I own another of these which says "Gilmour Supreme", molded into the side of it. Very happy with it and wanted a couple more. The one I own already looks like the photo on this listing as I write this review, with "Gilmour Supreme" molded into the side (it's the bottom sprayer in the photo I'll attach). What I received with my order is a similar-looking sprayer with "Gilmour" screen-printed on the side and a tag attached that says "Medium Duty". It seems functionally equivalent but it is not as shown in the product photo. There are bigger problems in life but I thought the item shown was what I would receive.

It's metal and feels durable. Nice big handle trigger for easy operation. Springs and metal components last years (6 years for my most recent one). No fussing with turning plastic rings - if you want a narrow stream, you squeeze handle more; squeeze less for broader (and gentler) circular pattern - which is all I really ever need. No, it doesn't last FOREVER, but it is a big improvement over the plastic jobs I've had experience with.

After reading a review I bought one of these about two years ago. It worked extremely well but did eventually corrode and started spraying every witch way from the back. Because it is so reasonably priced I just bought more and would do so again. The new ones function flawlessly. I have bought other expensive nozzles in the past and they didn't last any longer

This was advertised as a powerful sprayer. It doesn't shoot water very far at all.
