Worked perfectly for my 2021 CX-30 Turbo dash cam project. My dash camera used a micro USB so I had to find a USB-C (from dongle) to micro USB (Camera) adapter wire. The USB wire I used had right hand 90deg angles, so the wires will not get stressed in the cramped rearview mirror shroud. This dongle fits nicely under the plastic shroud for the light-sensing rear mirror. All you see is like 4 inches of wire going to my camera. Thank you for making this product, as every dang wire I tried was "always on". These new cars are not easy to tap into a power supply that is off when the car is off.

Fits perfect and works well on 2020 Mazda CX5 GT. Installation was easy. Powers a Vioffo 329S 3Channel dash cam.

Installed on 2024 Mazda CX-5 in Preferred trim level and worked perfect. Very easy to install (10 min at most) and offers a perfect power solution for my dash cam. No more dangling wires or long wire runs to the fuse box. For full disclosure, I did search and watched in advance some videos for installation on my car. Once you know how to take apart the covers behind your mirror, everything else boils down to unplugging and plugging back in two connectors. It is not inexpensive for what it is, but the wiring is perfect for the car is intended for. So, in my opinion is that the value is there. You get what you are paying for - perfect fit and hassle less installation.

2026 CX-70. The USB-C interconnect cable between the mounting block (gps module) and power coupler is too short. The power coupler won't fit in the mirror housing in any place that leaves enough cable to reach the gps mounting block. Poor design!

Excellent product worked perfectly for my dash cam!! Glad I found this product so I didn’t need to run the cord all the way down to the cigarette lighter.

Installed this on a 2022 CX5 Preferred. This product is overpriced for all it is but it makes dash cam installation a breeze compared to running wires all over the place and near the air bags. I recommend only removing the left side of the mirror cover. This allows you access to the connection and makes it easier to tuck in the wires. They include 3 different short cord connectors and a plastic pry tool to remove the cover - just start at the small notch at the bottom and it pops right off. It makes dash cam installation a breeze. While is specifies for frame less mirrors, my mirror is not and has the homelink buttons on it and this works perfectly fine. If you are unsure if this fits your vehicle, go to their website to confirm.

I recently bought my Mazda CX-30 (Luxury 2020 model with Skyactive-X engine) and wanted to install a Dashcam, but also trying to make it as clean as possible, so without pulling cables through my car. After some searching on the internet I came to this adapter, sadly I couldn't find it in Europe so I had to import it from the US. I'm using this adapter now to power my Viofo A229 Plus and it works perfectly with this dashcam. It turns on once my engine is started and will turn off, once it shuts down. So this adapter will not work with parking mode. Definitely recommend this adapter.

If you are putting a dash cam in your car, this little device is amazing. It isn't cheap but it is worth the extra money. You don't have to fish long cords all over your car. Just unplug the powered mirror and connect this. It was pretty easy to do. If you aren't sure how to get to your mirror power cord, you can do an internet search and find lots of videos to help. It comes with several different short cords to accomodate whatever power cord need your dash cam has. The main thing you need to watch is that you get the correct style for your car. This is a 10-pin Type E (worked in a 2021 Mazda CX-9). Basically you should unhook your mirror power source and take some pics, then come back and make sure what you have looks the same as the white parts of this. The power is only "on" when the car is running which I like because I don't want to worry about battery drainage. However do know that if you use this the camera will be off unless the car is running.

I bought this to supply power to a dash cam in my 2022 Mazda 3. Works great and saves a lot of time and effort not needing to thread cables down into the fuse box. It switches on and off with the ignition so no further wiring required. Perfect.
