Porlex Mini II Coffee Grinder

As part of a foray into coffee making, this porlex seemed like a good first grinder. After making around 100 coffees, the novelty of grinding has worn off. It takes a few minutes per cup, which you can do while the water boils. This is small enough to put inside an aeropress and take around which is a feature I used more than I thought I would. This does the job well. It's either this or the aergrind imo. Often I will still look at the commandante and wonder whether I made the right choice. If you are more likely to make coffees at home and portability is not an issue, I'd say, get a commandante and have that peace of mind that it's a good one that basically lasts a lifetime.

Fantastic product that allows for accurate grinding. Simple design makes it easy to clean. Compact design allows it to fit inside my AeroPress. Can grind Enough for over two espresso’s or one french press.

Quite costly for a hand-grinder. Nice and compact. Does the business. I keep a bottle-brush hanging inside the cupboard door to brush ground residue into the filter paper. This keeps the unit adequately clean. The unit is good for use by either hand but I tend to favour my dominant hand rather than give the other a work-out!

Excellent design. Very nice to own. I use the coarse grind as I only have a french press.

Nice little grinder. Portable, easy to use and easy to clean. I can grind enough beans for a single cup of coffee by the time my variable temperature kettle has heated the water to 85c.

Have used for two weeks now it’s great..

First foray into hand grinding and this is ideal for me. Perfect for Aeropress at home and when travelling. Takes about 3 minutes and produces good grind consistency. I take it apart and clean it after I've finished each bag of beans. Simples.
