5 minutes after the sharpener was delivered today I was trying it out. I love it. I had 2 old blades that I kept and i sharpened them both. One took longer than the other one but it works great for me. It did say it would also sharpen the 28 mm but it didn't sharpen mine. My 45 it did and I don't have a dull 60 mm to find out. I am excited about this though.

I recently (May '22) used a friend's True Cut True Sharp $36.99 (!!$!!) "Diamond Grit" Rotary Blade Sharpener (hand operated, not electric/plug in) that was a completely different style compared to the one that's currently available at Amazon. The only thing similar was the blue color of the sharpener. I searched for hers in stores, online, and on Amazon, to no avail. She said she'd purchased it over 3 yrs ago (not on Amazon). So I ordered what I thought was probably the next, newest, best -- it's the long one with a single slit, 13.5longx2.5widex3/4high" approx. This is a piece of junk, it doesn't work. It tore up my 60mm blade, and worked once for a 45mm blade and then failed completely. Complete waste of money. Only thing worse is the True Cut Electric blade sharpener available at Amazon for a whopping $59.70; another friend let me try this version, as she was wanting to get rid of it because she couldn't figure out how to make it work. I tried her electric version. It was even worse than the version I bought. A video I watched suggested if the blade is nicked, there's no repair possible. So buyer beware. Best advice? Be careful not to nick your blades on anything (easier said than done), and buy NEW blades when your old ones get dull

I looked far and wide for a sharpener for my rotary blades. This unit is the best by far! The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is because it takes a bit longer to get the blade sharpened than they showed. Also, you need to take extra care to make sure that you are holding the blade just right while using this product.

Works like a charm. My blades are easily sharpened when I've cut a bunch of fabric! A good tool to have in any sewing equipment tool box*: )

I had high hopes for this rotary blade sharpener after seeing it successfully demonstrated on youtube. Unfortunately, not only did it not work, but it actually made my blade even more dull than it already was. The sharpening “stone” was actually a piece of metal with grit on it that left visible scratches on the edge of the blade. So my dull blade that could cut through one layer of fabric, but not two, would not even cut through a single layer of fabric by the time I was through using this product. I followed the instructions to the letter, and my blade became more dull with each attempt. Sorely disappointed.

This did not sharpen as expected

It's easy to use, but mine has a rough/tight spot that makes a smooth stroke through it impossible. My current blade has a dull spot I was trying to remove. Now I think the dull spot is even bigger.

I have bought other rotary sharpeners but this one is really good and so simple to use. Ran my 4 rotary cutters through it and they are now in top shape - this is a great buy.

FINGER WEG! Leider gibt es die Alternative "null Sterne" nicht...: 1. Ein Effekt auf die Messer ist so gut wie nicht vorhanden. Von einem "Schärfer" kann man nicht sprechen! 2. Das Zurückschicken bedeutet z.T. sehr hohen Aufwand, weil dies nur über DHL-Filialen mit "internationalem Expressversand" erfolgen kann. Diese DHL-Filialen (ca. 35 Stück in ganz Deutschland!) gibt es nur in Großstädten, so dass Wege von 50 oder gar 100 km und mehr entstehen können! Wer das nicht auf sich nimmt oder nehmen kann, bleibt auf den Kosten für dieses "Teil" sitzen...
