Impressive results, right out of the box!
I was really impressed with this item! It came with connectors and a couple little extras. After about 10 mins of setup, not only did it look slick, but, it functions EXACTLY as described! Just what I needed for my highbanker pump! For anyone here doing the a similar project: - (x1) Harmnee Controller - (x1) Prospector's Dream Bac-Pac series highbanker. - (x1) 2,000 gph bilge pump - (x1) 12v 20ah Dakota Lithium battery - Misc. roll of 16ga wire. I've run it in the bath tub for over an hour, at all different speeds. Haven't had a single hiccup! Taking it to the woods in two days for real world testing but, I imagine everything will be great!

Reduced Amerage Rating Required
We have purchased three different DC controllers for this project. The first two were from China and rated at 30 amps. They both got very hot and failed at 10 amps. We subseuently purchased this controller, which was more sophisticated and had nice remote controls and a speed or percent power indicator. This one is rated at 40 amps, whereas our application required 12 amps, so we intended to run it at about 30% or rated output. At 12 amps, this one also got hot but didnot burn out. We reduced the running amperage to 10 amps and the device did not reach a failure temperature level. We will build this unit into our product but reduce the rating to maximum of 15 amps rather than the published 40 amps. The controls and indicator are very well done.

Not durable
Have purchased two of these and both broke within weeks of only a couple of uses. The first one stopped providing power to the motor and the second one lost speed control with it running full out.

Trolling Motor
Works fine but longevity is questionable at best. I'd highly recommend a waterproof PWM if putting in a kayak, canoe, or boat.

Very useful controller if your rotating 360’
Simple forward and reverse motor control. I found the rocker switch was not suitable for my needs so changed to two separate momentary push button switches. I didn’t use the ‘turns digital readout’ as it’s not got a ‘retained’ memory, it goes to zero if switched on or off. So I didn’t know where I was in rotation terms.

Built with extremely good craftsmanship and quality materials.
I’m not one to write a review unless something is actually really special and worth my time. StructoMax Meets that criteria. You will not find a better electrical box, I don’t care how much you spend. And how low their boxes are priced is outrageously low for what you get. I bought a 12x16x8 and I’m blown away with the quality and craftsmanship of this box. Wayyyyy beyond what I imagined I would get and I didn’t have low expectations. It’s heavy, actually heavy with .175mm thick steel and a great powder coating. The door has a good gasket and when it closes the fitment is solid. I’m ordering another one just to have before people realize how great these are and the demand goes up as well as the prices. StructoMax, you made a fan here out of an over the top OCD perfectionist. Well done.

60 amp rating is optimistic
Product worked perfectly running a 46lb trolling motor intermittently. The problem arose when trying to use it continuously. The trolling motor draws 48 amps at full power which was verified using a shunt. The relay unsoldered itself after approx 20 minutes at 48 amps. The controller was mounted in fresh air with no fan. Maybe if it was fan cooled it could handle the full 60 amps.

FWD- Reverse switch failed
FWD REV switch failed second use . i can still get motor to go FWD but not reverse . Not sure if it's a controller problem or the switch that went bad . for now i'll live with the FWD only but will end up replacing this with a better motor controller .don't want to buy just a switch if the problem is the controller. Edited to note that seller is stepping up and sending a new controller . I't good to know they will reach out after the return date and give a solution

These are so much cheaper than expected and works just like the expensive ones.
