This is a very good dummy for teaching retrieving. The material is strong but not bullet proof. Very good product. I’m ordering two more in orange for site training.

My 9 month old Golden Retriever decided to make a dinner out of this dummy. She managed to destroy the end. This is not meant to be a chew toy, but a retrieving dummy. I contacted the company regarding what she did. They replaced it! I really wasn’t expecting that because she destroyed it. I’ll definitely use them for future purchases.

This dog retriever training tool is not made to last. With training the dogs to be tender mouthed or gentle with birds they are retrieving this canvas dummy wears out after 20 sessions of training. The seams where sowed together begin to come apart. The positive is they are the right size to begin training a puppy retriever dog. They weigh enough that while using to attached cordage you can easily throw this device 60-75’ each throw without tiring your arm from repeated throwing.

Received it quickly and as advertised. Looks to be solid canvas construction that will hold up. Haven’t had a chance to use it but it looks like it will work perfectly as designed.

My dog is not a hunting dog but is 100% Retriever. The dummy weighs almost 15 oz so it works the dog when he retrieves. The product is made from cotton canvas and holds up fairly well. It traps dirt but I hand wash every use. The rope is about 16" long and is useful to throw the dummy. After three months of work, the dummy has only one string loose and there are no cuts on the exterior. Overall, this is a fun training tool.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I feel this one is important for other pet owners. I purchased this toy for my dog, who is not an aggressive chewer or rough player, and it ripped apart during only her third time playing with it.Once it tore, the material inside started coming out everywhere—and what concerned me most was that the filling had a sand like texture. I immediately took it away and threw it out because I was worried about the risk of her ingesting it.For a product meant for pets, especially dogs who naturally chew and play, I expected much better durability and safer materials. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this toy.

Got two. First one lasted three 1hr dog park trips. The first trip, the sand bag inside (weighting) buted open after about 10 throws landing on grassy field. 3rd trip another dog tried to play tug with mine and it ripped open in about 3 seconds.However, for use as water retriever toy, it worked great with no damage. For the price and this use. It's a great productBTW, construction is a medium thickness sewn canvas outside. Inside is a flexible foam tube (looks like pipe insulation). Inside one end of the tube is a thin walled plastic bag with what looks like dirt, bit could be sand.

There are some reviews stating they were chewed apart. Bumpers are for supervised training. They are not chew toys. If used for their proper purpose they will last for decades.

The product is good, the name needs a little work. It is not Jumbo it is a small size, if I would have checked the specs I would have known that. It works perfectly for my 2 dogs (65 & 70 lbs). The price was very reasonable.

The small one and the larger one are both wonderful! What a clever idea! Both very well constructed and safe from puppy teeth for the trainer. 6 stars!
