You will need to select the channel that you want output onto the headphones or select the master output, labelled headphones and both channels will come through your headphones.  For each channel, just abov the cross fader is the 2 channel mixers and above them is a button with a headphones logo that will select the channel to out put via your headphones.

Can you cue through the mixer as well has routing the main outs via an external sound card in DJuiced?

The DJuced application does provide you with the option of simultaneously using two different sound cards, one for the speakers (like the one from your laptop) and the other for the headphones (like the integrated sound card of the console).
