Is the battery being charged while using it or it has to be charged separately?

Need to plug it in separately. Once charged then you can us it. Doesn't work with calls just music audio.

I’ve used Bluetooth adapter plugged into cigarette lighter and you play through radio station, the quality is always terrible. Is the quality better?

Yes I once had the same bad sounding device. This tape player bluetooth sounds MUCH better.

Will this work with auto reverse receiver?

Yes because there is no tape in it to trigger the auto reverse feature in your player. Basically, the "tape" will never end.
