8" Adj Wrench

I have owned snap on adjustable wrenches, and I have owned the cheapest of the cheap. This is ABSOLUTELY the best bang for the buck in adjustable wrenches. Lets be honest, if you're trying to really tighten things down, use the proper wrench! If you need the quick adjustable wrench, I promise you, minus any manufacturing flaws, that this is THE BEST 8" adjustable wrench you will ever own. Its a fit all too. Keep that in mind. It opens WIDE, carries in your bag or pocket easy enough. Its the quick tool to grab to get the job done. I read the 1 star reviews, mostly a bunch of pretentious mechanics expecting this wrench to tighten the bolt for them and give them a $100 value for less than half the price. WELL, I'm a mechanic also, and if I hadn't have lost my first one ... I would still be on my second one. I kinda went Hulk-Smash on the handle on a 24mm bolt head and after a lot of smash, I snapped the slide portion off. I sure as hell won't ding a product for not putting up with the abuse it wasn't meant to be subjected to. Con. While I love the handle, it will not hold up to long term exposure to diesel and brake clean. I'm on my third one after losing, and then breaking one. So far this one is doing well, but i keep my tools clean. I really think it was my cleaning the handle with brake cleaner that ruined my first handle. Read the 1 and 2 star reviews, of course a bad quality control is warranted a bad review, but don't let the "I'm a mechanic and my word means more than yours" reviews deter you from a decent adjustable wrench.

Surprisingly: "Made in Spain" This is a REALLY nice crescent wrench. VERY wide opening, VERY useful for someone who uses a crescent wrench regularly on different size fittings. - Normally you'd have to get at least a 12" length "standard" crescent wrench to get the same width of opening Handle is really comfortable and large enough that you can get a good, solid grip. Really nice, smooth adjusting (very noticeable compared to cheap tools), knurled adjusting barrel is plenty large for my gloved hands. Tool seems a little "roughly finished" right out of the package. Some minor nicks and so-on. Doesn't affect tool performance one iota, and I got these to work with them, not to hang them on the wall because they're pretty. Also recommend the 6 inch model for tight spaces. That model doesn't have as wide an opening, but still very wide for it's length, and still a very comfortable handle.

It's worth it to invest in a tool like this. The grip is great. It's sturdy and adjustable for any size screw or whatever.

But not this one. Amazing tool. Tight tolerances make a difference. This feels like a precision tool. Almost like a dial micrometer. Wait! It has a caliper built in. I did not think I’d use that feature much, wrong. It opens wide. The tapered jaws do make a difference. It’s a game changer. I saw a cheap knock off with the same features yesterday. No comparison. It’s the machining tolerances that do the job. It’s so nice I never put it in with other tools. I have a special hanger for it.

When I saw the head of this wrench in the closed position, I cringed. The screw adjustment bolt sticks out a good 5/8th inch and does not appear to be well thought out. Rather, it is not used in this position, as this wrench is too big for tiny bolts or nuts and even a 7/16th bolt repositioned to fit in the jaws, will have the bolt retracted back into the wrench head enough to not look so dorky. In a full 5/8ths inch bolt it is almost inside the large head. The handle is quite soft and the usual Channellock Blue and the Red Code Blue handle insert adds a nice bright touch, that makes the wrench stand out as the one you are after in the search for a wrench to use. The adjustment knurled roller is tight on my wrench at about the point of adjustment off closed, to make you have to turn it a little harder for movement, just when you are near the 1/4" point on the scale and then at about 5/8th" it loosens for easier movement go the larger, less precise, sizes of the nuts and bolts of things this wrench will adjust to with more sizable fasteners. I really like this 8" wrench. It cured me of the monkey on my back to buy a new tool, for this week, and should be one of my best for this purpose.

Best adjustable wrench I’ve used for everyday maintenance use at a power plant. Thin design is great for tight fits, and the wide jaws are fantastic. I’d strip the blue grip and add some paracord though. Insane value for the price.

For some reason, the plumbing industry tends to put huge nuts on the threaded parts of faucets. Regular adjustable wrenches don't open far enough or are of such overall large size they won't fit under a sink. This wrench opens up to a bit over 1 1/2" and will work in many situations where a standard adjustable wrench won't. I've also found a lot of other applications on motorcycles and cars where regular adjustables won't work. These wrenches open to more than 38mm which covers a lot of oddball fasteners. It's worth having one of these in your tool box.

It has a wide jaw & also very slim width on the laws. Fits into narrow places.

Très bonne clé, la poignée est la même que les clés à molette Virax , Rothenberger et Berner , seule la couleur change . L'ouverture maximale est de 42 mm , la molette est chromé et à 4 spires , il y a très peu de jeux axial et transversale . Les mords sont bien finis . Je ne connaissais pas cette marque et je ne suis pas déçu , et en plus elle est moins cher que les autres marques. A ne pas hésiter.
