Black and Yellow Precision and Efficiency in a tool - DEWALT Drywall Screw Gun Attatchment!
I recently had the pleasure of picking up this DEWALT Drywall Screw Gun attachment for my home renovation, and I can say that it has redefined my expectations for drywall tools. As someone who loves accuracy and efficiency, this screw gun delivered exceptional performance across my entire project. Work smarter not harder right?! The performance of the DEWALT Drywall Screw Gun and attachment is truly mind blowing. The depth-sensitive set it and forget it nosepiece ensure consistent and precise screw depth with each drive. The high-speed motor effortlessly sinks screws into drywall, and the trigger control allows for seamless adjustments based on the gypsum material and task at hand. The streamlined design of this tool significantly eases the drywall installation process, making it an essential choice for both professionals and DIYers like me. DEWALT's commitment to durability is evident in the construction of this Drywall Screw Gun. The tough build and high-quality materials inspire confidence in its longevity. The only minor deduction is in the plastic components, which, while durable, might not withstand as much abuse as metal alternatives. However, with proper care, this screw gun is more than capable of handling the rigors of regular use. While specifically designed for drywall installation, this screw gun proves its versatility in other applications as well. The depth control feature and variable speed trigger make it suitable for a range of materials, from softwoods to various drywall sizes. The precision it offers allows for a clean and professional looking finish every time! In terms of value for money, the DEWALT Drywall Screw Gun is an investment that pays off handsomely. The time saved and the consistent, perfect screw sinks it delivers make it a valuable addition to any toolkit. In conclusion, the DEWALT Drywall Screw Gun has exceeded my expectations and proven to be an indispensable tool for any construction or renovation project. Its high precision, efficiency, and user-friendly design make it a perfect tool for drywall jobs!

first impressions very lackluster, there is a learning curve
paired with dcf630b screwgun, i observed the following: - if the drill is not perfectly straight, the screw will go in sloppy... hard to keep it straight when you have to use 500 pounds of force just to push it in - there is WAY to much play/rattle in the connection from the attachment to screwgun - each time you take the attachment off, it scrapes against the screwgun's long bit. this is going to cause the hole for the screwgun to turn into an oval... this attachment relies too much on perfect angle... with a normal dimpler & impact driver if you get a crooked screw, you just apply more pressure and sink it in alittle more. With this however if you get it wrong, now you gatta go for another tool, or detach the attachment which damages it over time and then use the screwgun to sink it in more. will take it on the job later next week and update review as i get more accustomed to it. day1: it really sucks. Very inconsistent depths on the screws because you can never get the thing perfectly angled straight and you need way too much force to start a screw. The belly level sheet you put in, this thing is bang on great for. But once you get down to floor or anything above belly level its just half sunk screw after half sunk screw... you adjust the knob and it does nothing. Adjust the knob again and the screw is all the way thru the drywall... The fact that you need so much force to put a screw in means any fine tuning of depth is lost. week1: love/hate relationship with this thing. But im starting to get the hang of it. On the dewalt dcf630b, it stops if the load is too high. So if your screws are not sinking in properly, just change the battery for fresh charge. If its really thick timber, when it does stop short, DONT RELEASE THE PRESS on the attachment! Just hit the trigger again on the same screw and the screw will sink in properly! Also for angled screws, i found it faster to just put in the screws almost all the way in but not fully, then just remove the attachment and use the long bit to snug them in properly. week 2: i cannot do drywall without this. It puts screws into sheets so fast. I learned to not release fully after putting a screw in. So i can repress and re-sink the same screw. It sounds like a slow down but once you get a good technique going you'll have much less bad screws to deal with. months later: this stupid jam (see pictures) happens at least once a day. the screw comes out sideways and drills into the plastic head. Its so difficult to remove. I think it has to do with the fact that there is play in the bit and it no longer spins true. many more months later: i solved the jam by 3d printing a new bumper. If you look closely theres some minor knicks on the side but no screw gets jammed anymore. Honestly if you are not well invested into the dewalt platform and want to buy something like this, go with a different brand or give the senco-dewalt attachments a try.

UPDATED: Great, versatile attachment that could use more bits
The DCF6202 is a great addition to the DCF620 drywall screwdriver. I have a project slated for this but quickly tried it out on a test drywall strip on some 2x4s. I did order some extra bits for what I thought was for this collated feeder. I ordered the 5 pack of bits (DWA6PHC2-5) which is for the older collator (DCF6201). While they don't say it does work with the DCF6202 these bits do work. You have to change the depth adjustment to the setting where the screws are the highest out of the drywall. You can adjust down from there. I bought these by accident but with more searching I can't find the replacement bits for this attachment (DCF6202PH2-5). They were only available from one online retailer that I wasn't familiar with and they were $20 plus shipping for 5 bits. The older bits are slightly longer at 6" where the one that comes with the DCF6202 are 5⅞". They were also more widely available and half the price. With that out of the way, this works wonders making you faster on the job. It attaches quickly and is easy to adjust. It attaches and removes from from the screwdriver easily and can turn to get you closer to corners. It didn't jam and didn't skip screws. I was able to use a few different brands of collated screws (Senco and Simpson) without a problem. Btw, save the plastic strips. I reload them and use them several times over. It saves money. Overall this is a great addition to an already great tool. The only reason I'm removing a star is the lack of replacement bits and that the bits are only available in ph2 (phillips). For the price of the attachment they should include a few spare bits in different types (phillips, square, torx). UPDATE: if you are looking for replacement ph2 (phillips) bits I did order and try out the "5-Piece Phillips Reduced Collated Magazine Bits" (from a company named after a city in Wisconsin) and they work perfectly. They are shorter than the DeWalt bit that came with it by 1mm. Adjusting for depth easily take care of that and they are priced around $10 for 5 bits.

Excellent drywall screwgun attachment!
Excellent product, has made a huge difference in speed of hanging drywall for my company. Can be a bit finicky operating, but so long as you ensure that you adjust the depth properly and plunge the screw fully every time, it operates as intended. Works well with various different brands of collated strips. Have tried 8 different brands so far and have had no issues with sizing or feed. Definitely recommend for medium to larger jobs of hanging various types of drywall.
