My old N.Clarke straighteners gave up. My friend bought herself the new new ghd straighteners (I think she paid £280 for them). I used them while i was on holiday and they were great, such a difference to my N.Clarke ones. I was considering getting GHDs but not having enough funds and reading tbe reviwes of these remington ones, I've decided to try these out. They are PHENOMENAL!! Dare i even say that they work on my coarse thick hair even better than ghds. Honestly you will not regret buying them. My hair is so gorgeous after using them. The only con I could find is that the temperature goes up by 20° (I.e. 170° - 190° - 210°) which is a shame as I used to use my previous ones on 180°. However they still do incredible job on 170! Buy them, you wont regret it

My hair is very wiry and unruly . Always looks shiny when I come.out of the hairdressers but when I straighten.my bob it lasts 5 minutes before it fizzes, if I get a hot flush and not much longer anyway 😳 I was about to order GHD Chronos straighteners but my hairdresser suggested trying these . I cant believe how absolutely brilliant they are . My hair was so frizzy 2 days ago when they arrived. 10 minutes later it looked perfect , honestly . Here I am 2 days later and it's still only needs brushing in the morning. Best straighteners I have ever had and that includes GHDs ! Amazing Thank you and I got a brilliant deal on the price !

So nearly a year later... smooth straightening or curling due to rounded exterior. Like with any straighteners best to do cool shot with a hairdryer after to seal. Plastic that gets too hot. Best to use with a glove (not supplied). The pouch pretty. The temp settings and range good. Lock for plates. However quality of surface of the plates deteriorates. Mine has a thin scratch and I'm a very cautious user, using a silicone mat, only user, never travelled with it, even at home stored in the pouch. The plates touch each other tightly at the tips, but there's a gap at their other end, the one closer to the control buttons. The buttons don't get accidentally pressed when straughtening but they do when twisting to curl, but theres lock button so useful. Not to be used with products residue on hair surface, so product type matters, something absorbable, because it can burn into the plates edges. Also there's only one word I can describe the smell with when their hot: fish oil. Nothing coconut oil about that. I bought on offer which was what they should be selling at considering the plastic gets too hot and there's no mat or glove included. Good length swivel cord.

Brilliant straiggteners. Thwyre thin and i have long thick haor so need to section a lot but they are great. Only improvemnet for me would be wider plates

I purchased these for my daughter for Christmas, upon trying to use them, we noticed that the plates don't touch together properly, they touch at the front and there is a big gap at the other end of the plates (just like plenty of others have reported, and some in 2022 so things haven't been sorted) so i sent rhem back for a replacement, the replacement came today (Dec 27th) and would you believe it, they are exactly the same, for the price this is completely unacceptable as you literally can't straighten hair with them and if you press hard to close the plates, they clamp on the hair too much and end up pulling the hair and they hurt (my daughters words) , so after having 2 lots and both terrible, i will be returning for a full refund, do yourselves a favour buy something different these are rubbish.

I've only used it a few times, but it's been more than worth the money. Fast heating up, & gives a very smooth & soft finish on my hair, which is quite fine & prone to drying out & frizz. It's also light weight which is good for travelling. Very pleased 🙂

Product was ok to use, smoothed out hair fine, just stopped working 6 months after purchase.
