Pretty Amazing for the Price !!!!
**BACKGROUND**: After Years of waiting ( mostly to see when micro-LED Technology would be firmly established and the price not too insane ), we got ourselves a 75QNED90 LG Living Room TV. Awesome TV, but just so-so sound. Dialog wasn't sharp enough ( for my old ears ) and often buried by background noise/music. Anything with any significant Bass sounded "rubbery". I thought we could go all discreet components ( AV Receiver and at least three somewhat decent speakers, no sub ), but my lady didn't want to see all that, so no joy there. I had Never heard a Soundbar that I thought sounded decent before, but it seemed to be the only way to solve our sound problems. **SHOPPING**: Started reading and reading and stumbled on VIZIO's V51x-J6, after reading dozens of on-line articles, blogs and Amazon Reviews. I had started looking for a 3.0 or 3.1 soundbar, but kept coming back to the VIZIO V51x-J6. The reviews ALL seemed to REALLY LIKE THE CLEAR DIALOG CENTER CHANNEL, which has it's own level adjustments !!! That and the Really Great PRICE had me "looking at it hard". I kept trying to find anything better for under $300 and I could not, so I bought one. **SETUP**: Set it up last night. Easy Setup. TV feeding the VIZIO via ARC, the VIZIO pretty much did everything, all by itself. I had to press the two power buttons, to sync the wireless sub with the sound bar, but that was about it !!! Our ROKU Ultra Remote ( which had been controlling everything in the room ) still did !!!! *****RESULTS*****: It started out-of-the-box Way Better than the TV Sound. A little fiddling using the VIZIO Remote ( IT is Excellent, with LOTS of adjustments ) and we soon had a Brilliant Soundscape !!!! We spent several hours listening to all sort of music, tv, movies and YouTube videos, adjusting a bit here and there. AWESOME SOUND !!!!! ...especially for the Price - Sound Way Better Than I could have Hoped For, at a Price that made us both Very Happy !!!! The only ( tiny ) flaw is the sub, which is a bit "thumpy" on certain rock music tunes, and altogether Too Present above the rest of the mix. We turned it down to the lowest setting, and it's fine... Pretty good actually. Listening to stand up bass on Bluegrass, then electric bass on some Albert King+SRV tunes, you could actually Clearly Hear every bass note being played ( versus the usual clumps of mushy, muddy, pounding bass that come out of most Subs ). SWEET SOUND, GREAT PRICE. Should have done this a long time ago !!! Will post again if anything new happens, but on day-two, WE ARE REALLY, REALLY HAPPY !!!!!! - Don&Deb -

Great sound for the price and easy setup.
We wanted a 5.1 surround sound system without the big name expense. I have yet to be unhappy with Vizio products and this V-Series 5.1 Home Theater Sound Bar with Dolby Audio, (this is not the DTS unit) is no exception. It comes with wall mounting hardware for studs or sheetrock. The EQ settings on this are simple to use and adjust. It is louder (decibel wise) than our other Vizio 2.1 and sounds even better. Perfect amount of bass and volume for a 250sq ft room. If you really want it to, the bass can "boom" but it all depends on your ear and what you like. My wife and I like to feel the bass and enhance the sound experience but I don't want my "trunk" rattling, though this can do just that if you want it to. Treble and Mids are also great, not tinny, not muffled. It is very sound forward and one of my favorite features......Speaker volume adjustment! Setting the Center Speaker volume up and Dialog Boost volume up means you can actually hear what is being said without having to turn on captions because of the ridiculously loud music that always seems to overwhelm movies. You will have to play with the adjustments, it doesn't just come out of the box sounding perfect (although it does sound great out of the box). So just remember to be patient, I know that is hard sometimes but trust me, it is absolutely worth it. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS...can't stress that enough....you know who I'm talking to. My parents have a Sonos system that was over $1600 and I really don't notice a difference, other than the cost. Maybe it's worth it some how...because some people think more money means better product "Ohhh Shiny" (sometimes that is true, not this case) but if you want to save money and still have a really versatile 5.1 system that is GREAT for movies AND music, give this Vizio 5.1 system a try and see for yourself and before you think it, no I am not being paid nor was I given this thing, I just think it is really that good. Just to give some added proof, I have been a guitarist for 27 years. I've had several cheap and high end amps, I have been around what is considered High quality sound systems ($100,000+) in recording studios. That isn't to say I know more than you, but sometimes it is nice to know that someone who has experiences that you may not have had, can help you with making the best decision for your lifestyle and budget. I really enjoy helping people and I honestly do think if you buy this and take the time to set it up the way it works best for your listening experience, you really will be happy and save money and family and friends that come over will probably be asking "What brand?" and "How much was it???!". That has happened to me and my wife already...Good luck, happy listening and be happy! You deserve it!

Bought one at Walmart before, had to get another
I had one for the bedroom, and I liked it. When I was looking for a new TV and stuff for my living room, I decided to go with Sony... Because, who hasn't heard of Sony? The Sony was subpar, and didn't perform like this one. I bought this one used this time around, so some things were missing... But, that's not to speak on buying it brand new, brand new it comes with mounts for the satellite speakers, cord for the speakers, mounting bracket and hardware for the bar, and correct cords to go with. The new one, if I remember correctly, comes with an optical cable, not HDMI... But, this sound bar is 100% HDMI capable. One of the key things I like about this setup over the Sony, using HDMI and adjusting your Roku settings, you can control the volume of the sound bar with the TV, rather than needing two remotes to control everything. The remote for the speaker has a built in screen, so you can sit from the comfort of your couch while you fine tune your sound, using the bar LEDs to know where you are with a setting. The sound with the speakers and stuff is actually really good, though the sub woofer doesn't bump quite like the Sony, I can make the exception because of how good the speakers overall sound. Even though it doesn't bump as hard as the Sony, it still has decent enough power overall. Overall, nothing is too heavy, and you can comfortably mount your sound bar to your TV. The sub is wireless to the bar, and then the satellite speakers wire into the sub, so you can kinda hide things easier as far as cords. Overall, even though things were missing (that's what I get for buying used,) I 100000000% recommend this setup.

Easy Setup and would recommend
I replaced my old surround sound system (had speaker wire) with this system. I'll say that my old system sounded a little better, but that one started to cut out every now and then. For the price the sound is still really good for this system though. I wasn't expecting a top notch sound system, and I'm sure there are better ones out there, but this is a good affordable sound system for sure. The setup was extremely easy as well. I also like that the only speaker wire needed is from the small speakers to the sub, which should be located close to each other. Below are the pros and cons for me. I would recommend this system for somebody that is interested in surround sound and doesn't want to run speaker wire, and don't want to spend money on the high priced systems. If you already have speaker wire ran and setup, and can afford a more expensive system I would go that route. Pros: 1) Very easy and quick setup. 2) Not having speaker wire running every where. 3) The speaker wire from the small speakers to the sub is fairly long allowing placement of those a little ways away. 4) The remote is simple, almost too simple, but nice to be able to control everything from it. 5) At first I was worried that the sub couldn't produce enough bass watching shows. It must've just been those shows though because a few others have come on and the bass was great. 6) I like the "night time" option that cuts the sub level down. 7) The price is affordable. 8) There are all types of ways to connect the sound bar to your tv. We actually have the two HDMI ports on the tv in use with a satellite box and a roku device. I was able to use the optical cable. I love that they have so many options to connect to your tv which makes it so universal. Cons: 1) If you want to mount the small speakers it comes with mounting brackets but no screws to mount the brackets to the wall. Same thing for mounting the soundbar. 2) The speaker wire from the small speakers to the sub is long. I mounted my speakers not far from the sub, so I ended up with quite a bit of left over speaker wire to roll up and try to hide. 3) To me the sound quality isn't as good as my old wired system, but you trade having to run/hide speaker wire for very little speaker wire. 4) It was delivered in a huge box, but the actual size of the product is about 1/4 of the shipping box size. 5) There was tape on everything! You will need a knife to get this thing unboxed because there is a whole lot of tape holding things together.

Awesome Soundbar!
I bought this soundbar for my 40 something inch Vizio TV that I use in my living room. This TV in particular seems to have speakers only on the back of the TV which means even with the TV sound turned all the way up the sound quality was terrible and I could barely hear a thing! It sounded like my TV was in a box! It was absolutely neccessary for me to purchase a soundbar. I wanted a nice middle of the road soundbar that would give me a good listening experience but that wasn't some big investment and I did a bit of research on them before ultimately deciding just to give this one a try. It came quickly and was packed very well. It was actually quite a bit of work to get it out of its manufacturing package. I was able to mount it below my TV that is on a rolling TV stand and place the subwoofer in the back of the room on the floor in a stationary place. The soundbar is the perfect size for my 40 something inch tv and has a great sleek look. It seems to be made very well and is comparable to any other soundbar I've ever seen in person. The subwoofer is also not too big or too small and it's not very noticeable at all sitting on the floor in the back of my room. It's very reasonably sized and blends in well. The only thing I don't like about the subwoofer is that the power cord plugs into the front of the subwoofer which looks pretty dumb. The remote it comes with works well. The soundbar is easy to figure out and use and the sound quality so far has been great. It really changes my whole experience when watching my TV. It makes me feel like I'm in a movie theatre. Being that this soundbar was very reasonably priced, is of great quality and has great sound I am 100% happy with my choice to purchase this specific soundbar and I think anyone else would be as well.

It’s very good for the price. It is NOT top of the line
Have this hooked up via HDMI for watching movies in a fairly small room (15’x25’). Instructions are basic but fine, and thr set does include brackets for hanging the surround speakers if you wish. I simply set mine on a shelf. Very pleased that the subwoofer is wireless, and I’ve never had any issue with it not connecting or losing signal in the weeks I’ve had it. What I really like is that it does a great job of emphasizing dialogue. My parents watched a movie with me and commented on how well they could understand The Fall Guy, and both of them are in their 80s with hearing aids, so that’s true praise. I like that the sound bar volume operates using the TV remote, too. Sound quality is very decent. You will not confuse this for a Sonos or other high dollar surround system, but the improvement over standard TV speakers is still enormous, and at 1/3 the price of just a Sonos sound bar, it’s a great deal. All that said, there are some factors I don’t particularly like. The remote is not blatantly obvious how to use, and it does not provide much information for the various settings when you adjust them. It’s entirely a guess whether “+” means you are increasing the setting or if there are only two settings and you’ve selected the higher one. For sure you can tell when you select different sound type settings - essentially preset graphic equalizers - but modifying things beyond that is poorly defined. The other issue with the remote is that it’s not lit, so guessing what button is what in a dark room is difficult. Not a deal breaker, just could be better. Finally, I’m not sure who all these reviewers are who claimed it has “booming” bass but it does NOT. Who can blame it? It’s working with a tiny 4.5” speaker! But for the size it does do a good job of producing SOME bass, which is more than almost any soundbar can claim. It will not shake your walls. It will not make you feel the dinosaur’s footsteps or jump when a bomb hits, but it’s a good deal better than no subwoofer, and again it’s really good for the price point. So do like it? Definitely. Would I buy it again? Definitely. Would I recommend it? Yes, IF you are looking for big improvement over the TV speakers but are not concerned about making the room resonate, or if your budget simply doesn’t allow for a high dollar system. However, if deep and strong bass is truly key for you, you’re going to have to shell out more money for a bigger sub.

Great sound bar and sub
Really easy to install, user friendly. Lots of options to connect to the TV. I use it for many functions including TV, DVD, Stereo, you name it.

Must make speaker adjustments and customize settings to your liking.
An avid audio/video file since the 80s, I owned plenty of hi end equipment. I had an AV processor that controlled my speakers for watching movies. It kicked, you can feel the bass pumping through your body. Over the years they created smaller, self contained SS systems with tiny speakers and sub woofers that were clearly lacking, and could not handle volume above mid point before distortion set in. It was really frustrating. I stopped buying them altogether because o haven’t found one that excites me and can enhance my viewing experience, until now. This Viseo V Series 5.2 packs a punch, at both low and high volume. My dialogue, which comes from the center speaker on the soundbar, was too low. If I increased the volume, everything was too loud. Adjustments were clearly needed. I knew this system was capable, I just didn’t know how. By pressing Level on the remote, you can cycle through the component you want to adjust. I found dialogue, hit the plus sign, but wasn’t able to tell if I’m actually increasing it. I was expecting a number of 1 to 10 on the LCD but received no indication I did anything. I then realized there’s a vertical band of LEDS on the soundbar. Every time I pressed + on the remote, the vertical LEDs on the soundbar would jump one towards the top. Now I have a visual that tells me what I’m changing, and whether I’m decreasing or increasing. I next went to center speaker, which was at the mid way point on the sound bar. I think all speakers are at the midway point. I simply increased that and have it a test run. Now I can hear dialogue, and when SS or music kicks in, it doesn’t overpower the dialogue. Perfecto!! You can customize the volume, treble, bass, and balance/fade any way you wish. This is vital in setting up your surround system. Trust me on this. I highly recommend. It does not handle some encoded formats like DTS Plus, but that’s easily fixable. I used HDMI arc, not digital optical to connect.

Excellent Soundbar
I’m pleasantly surprised for the sound from this Soundbar, it truly compliments my new 65” Amazon Firetv. The sound fills our living room perfectly. I would definitely recommend this particular Soundbar if you a small living space.

Excelente Sonido

Great sound
Had my old Vizio for 12 years and it died. This is excellent and has a sub with it. I did as other reviewers said and placed it just below TV and it’s great sounding. I ended up having to mute my tv as the sound would not sink with sound bar and I had echo. This was not a problem with the old one, I just switched the sound to external speakers which muted the TV and it is perfect. Clear and excellent sound. The woofer is just an added bonus.
