Vive Wedge Post-Op Shoe - Offloading Boot for Heel or Ankle Pain - Medical

I ordered this for my 90 year-old at home, who had a heel ulcer. She’s very mobile with her walker and required a shoe that would cover her wound and provide safety placement of the foot while walking. I highly endorse this, not affiliated with anyone. This really worked out for nearly 4 months of her recovery. She used it to go to church and family outings, it offered normal balance for her to walk. I cleaned it often with a normal disinfecting, wipe and let it air dry. It offered comfortable Velcro to adjust. I am a nurse and I highly recommend this shoe for any person who may have a heel or calcaneus procedure, heal, spur, or ulcer that is being treated.

My husband has had to use this off loading shoe for several months. Well made and does the job of keeping pressure off of his heel. Good quality and price.

Wore boot to keep pressure of of heel with diabetic ulcer. Put more pressure on my knee. Leg would swell up if walked on to much.

I went to wound care and this boot was necessary to not put pressure on my wound. This boot prevents a nasty callus forming on the heal with a wound. By not wearing this sooner, I fought one infection after another.

Did what it was designed to do. I couldn't get used to walking with one leg longer than the other, so I discontinued use and used a crutch. Others may not have the same problem.

Shoe is falling apart from the heel and I've only worn it for 2 months. It should not fall apart like this when you are using it medically to take care of feet. 😫😫😫 They shouldn't just glue it to the sole.

The heel is the part of the body that gets all your weight on it and it will take forever to heal if you do not let it rest. I developed plantar fasciitis and the problem I am sure everybody else has... We have to move! This boot helps to do the needed things around the house or just the necessary walking without putting too much stress on the heel and tendons helping with the healing process. THE SIZE... If your shoe size is on the limit of the boot size get the next larger size. For instance I wear 11 on shoe size the limit size for Large is 11 and the tips of my toes stick out a little sometimes and the platform starts touching the heel area a little. It would probably had been better if I had gotten the next size.
