This is the BEST kitchen torch for the price that I have EVER bought! It's really easy to use and works extremely well. The sugar on my Creme Brulee was perfectly done with ease the very first time using my new Jo Chef Torch. The flame control is such a great feature and easy to manage. I highly recommend this!

This is an awesome tool for the kitchen. When I have certain types of food, I want it crisp or broiled to crunchiness, such as hot dogs, bratwurst, or Italian sausage, etc. This torch does the trick for finishing those types of foods. It is a required tool for dishes such as crème brulee. I love that I have this capability in my kitchen now. I'm a foodie, in case you hadn't guessed. The torch is easy to use, has a large flame capability. The design is safety conscious as it has a trigger lockout. I really like this product for the value and straight up grab and go functionality. A most useful kitchen tool.

Conveniently small but powerful, we love torching a lot of our food now especially sushi and this torch really helps. It is easy to use, great customer service when needed, makes it easy to depth to lots of food.

this is a good torch. substantial feel to it and a larger base to support it. the lock is a great feature, love that I can lock it & unlock it while holding it without fumbling. the knob on the back turns easily to adjust the flame. two small issues I've found but can work with them. 1. the flame adjustment knob is also how you turn off the torch. 2. when filling it with the butane it allows butane to leak out around the fill tip. followed directions to the letter to fill it & no matter what I did it would leak during filling. otherwise it's a good torch with a steady base. UPDATE: after trying to fill the torch again, the leak of butane was worse than the first time & when I gave up I could hear a hiss coming from the fill stem. I reached out to the company by email they responded in less than 24 hours. sent me a you tube link to view and see if I was possibly doing something wrong & stated they will take care of the issue confirming that customer service is a top priority. I was also told that if there was still a problem they would happily send me a new torch. my husband & I went to try again while following the video (which I had been doing it correctly all along) we even filled a lighter to insure the butane cans were not faulty. they were not. Bottom line let customer service know nothing worked, so they sent out a new torch right away. it arrived overnight! haven't tried the new torch yet will do that tomorrow. Another great thing I communicated with the same person from start to finish. Unlike so many companies that you reach out to & you end up with communication from sometimes multiple different people. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD TORCH WITH EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE THIS IS THE TORCH FOR YOU!

This torch in itself is great. It works well and is easy to use. However, filling it is a problem. The fill nozzle on this torch does not fit any standard butane bottle that I have found and I havent found an adapter inside a cap on a butane can that works well for this fill fitting on the torch. You CAN NOT get this torch filled more than halfway to the max line in the site glass on the torch. I have seen in the comments here that the seller has suggested filling the torch horizontally instead of vertically, I am telling you right now that turning it horizontal does not work any better than vertical, in fact i think it fills even less when you turn in horizontal. If you could actually fill this torch to its fill point it would be great. Instead, I have to add butane to this torch about every 4th time is use it. When I do use it it is usually only for about 30 seconds at a time. Fill valve blows, torch itself is great Ok - a few months later and I actually have come full circle. The fill valve works just fine. When you first start to fill it you are going to loose some fluid, you just need to adjust the can until a good connection is made with the fill valve and then it will fill right up. It does hold a surprising amount of fuel. Slow, steady pressure and tilt/rotate can until a good connection is made. I have been using the whip it premium butane to fill my torch. It seems to be the easiest that I have used so far.

Very dissatisfied. This product arrived defective in that it can't be filled with butane. It comes with nozzle adapters and extra adapters with the butane refill cans, but none of them work to provide a sufficient seal in order to fill the torch. As I read reviews I can see others have had the same issue also without recourse. I would like to add the item arrived yesterday, so there shouldn't be any reason the company or seller won't stand behind the Jo Chef product. The option to start the return or return or replace the item is not functiinal, and there isn't a phone number for costumer support. I used all the trouble shooting guides I could find, but in the end the product is defective, there doesn't seem to be a way to return or exchange it, and I'm out $42.00 for an item I haven't been able to use even once.

Quality of the item is better than I expected, does not feel cheep at all. Packaging is also very nice. Instructions are clear, product is nicely designed. Will update review once I get to use it a few times.

Item is of decent quality, but needs an easier method or system for gas injection.

So this torch used to be much cheaper -_-, but i think so far, its worth the money I paid for it. I find the window to see how fuelled the torch is to be confusing. I see almost nothing in there all the time, and it barely has any liquid in it yet it can work for awhile... so thats weird. I do find its high heat, the flame length as mentioned was great. Its fire, idk, its good.
