Can this be used to replace the existing grip, or does it have to be put on top of the existing one?

The intended use of an overgrip is to put it on top of the existing grip. Most overgrip increases the grip size by ~1/16".

The doors to my office have metal handles that are in the sun all afternoon and they get really hot. Would this insulate them? And keep us from burns

Interesting question. This is a thin over grip. It is designed to be tacky. It does absorb sweat so it may have limited insulating qualities. It is going to be tricky wrapping unless the handles are removed from the door. The black color will absorb more sunlight. At this price give it a try - it may work. Wrap it tight!

how tacky is this overgrip? I prefer something super tacky.

This overgrip isn't tacky. It's a good overgrip though. I think that Gamma does make some tacky overgrips, but I've never used them. Look for the words "tacky" or "super tacky" in the Amazon description. There's a brand that's a very good super tacky overgrip, but I can't remember who makes it. Anyway, this particular overgrip by Gamma isn't tacky.

Ótimo e bom custo benefício

Tackiness moderada, tamanho excelente e já vem com o início e final cortados (mais grips poderiam vir assim, não é mesmo?). Uso l4 e deu com sobras, o que me permite concluir que daria para utilizar esse grip até mesmo em uma raquete estentida. Aqueles que gostam de um overlap mais acentuado também se beneficiariam do tamanho bom. A durabilidade é muito boa, tanto em relação ao aspecto físico do grip quanto em relação à manutenção do tackiness (fique tranquilo tenista, o grip não vai durar só um set igual ao tourna original). Ótima opção, especialmente considerando o preço e o frete grátis para membros do prime.
