Is the electronic keypad fireproof? If there is a fire, is the key the knly way in?

The keypad is definitely not fireproof. It is nade of plastic. The way to go in is by key in case of fire.

I want to store gold and silver. How much weight can each shelf hold?

I am thinking about offering these in my rooms that I rent out via AIRBNB - are the codes easy to set for new clients? I am trying to find the type that you normally see in a hotel. What do you think?

The codes are easy enough to set/reset on this safe. This safe, however, is WAY BIGGER than a hotel room safe, which is typically only big enough for jewelry, wallets, passports, tablets & phones. I love this safe as it holds 2 standard jewelry boxes of my stuff plus room for some file folders holding important documents. But then maybe the clients you rent to NEED a safe big enough to hold a laptop or brief of paperwork, etc. We LOVE this safe; our Police Dept. advised us to bolt it to the floor for added protection.
