It's super delicious. I have a hard time finding Ube Halaya in my area so to know that as a last resort I can get it on here is great. Although I do prefer to support the local Asian store first.

Product’s lid states “do not buy if button moves when pressed “ to ensure product was processed correctly/safely. A minimum of 2 jars were required to purchased. The lid on one of my jars moves freely up and down indicating product not safe to buy. I attempted to return product or get refund, and found refund not available. I wondered why 2 jars had to be purchased at once. Maybe it’s because they can ship one good jar along with one bad? Not happy, that was very expensive for one jar of Ube jam!! The other will have to go in the trash! Save your money!

Before I attempt to make my own, i thought I would try store bought. This worked perfectly in my ube brownies, such a gorgeous shade of purple. Very sweet though, I will try to make my own, eventually…maybe. Totally worth it for the convenience, but I will look next time I’m in Canada!

Other than sweeter than other ones I bought, this not super smooth with texture. Maybe not fully blended. But overall decent product.

Great for baking! I made the loveliest ube crinkle cookies with this ube halaya jam since I found that ube extract was not strong enough to come through in my dessert recipes. Very authentic product, make sure to refrigerate after opening to ensure that it doesn't go bad prematurely.
