A True Masterpiece!
I have a bit of bias here, but Pikmin 3 Deluxe is a must for anyone who enjoys real-time strategy games. It is extremely unique and has quite a bit of content to enjoy. It is definitely designed to be played multiple times and to gradually improve at it; with its Story and Mission Modes. It could also be a fun game for someone that also would like a game they can play with a friend. There is new content and VERY enhanced controls to its original release on the Wii U! The game also has various difficulties for those who just want to more casually explore it, or for those who really want to push their optimization of movement and planning. On top of this, it is also a game on the go that you could introduce to others and maybe even create a new enthusiast of the series. If you are looking for a game with a very long story or a single experience that you finish once that is worth your money, you may not want this game, as its Story Mode is short. Think of it more like an Arcade experience of a Short-n-Sweet adventure that could easily be replayed for years to come. Again, a great title to anyone's Switch collection!

Great 2 player game for all ages
Bought this game to have something the kids and I could play as a team, this one really does let you each play your own part and go off on separate task while working toward the same goals. Great for teaching teamwork and the battle bingo (2 players against each other) mini competitions are super fun too!

Pikmin!
Family friendly, appropriate for all ages. Simple enough for a younger player but enough depth and replayability to entertain a proper adult. If you enjoyed the GameCube originals back in the day you’ll have an awesome time with this, but what’s super cool is no previous knowledge or experience with the series is required whatsoever and you could just as easily have this be your first Pikmin game. This is a super cute, lighthearted franchise that is easy to recommend to casual gamers and hardcore enthusiasts alike.

Pikmin 3 is an amazing game. This wasn't really much different.
I'm a big fan of the pikmin series and I've played all of them and this one was extremely fun to play with a friend.I would give it a full 5 stars but they really didn't add that much to the game. The biggest thing was co-op campaign mode which they clearly had support for in Pikmin 3 on the wii-U so I can't give them points for including a feature that should have already been there. They added a mini-story about Olimar and Louie which was basically just a few added missions from mission mode. And they MIGHT have added more missions, it's been a long time since I played the original and I'm not actually sure about that.Everything else about the game is pretty much the same. It looks like the majority of their effort was spent porting it over to the switch. The controls are a bit more confusing without the wii-U pad but they made them work for the most part.Since they didn't really add that much more content, I would've expected more quality of life changes but there are still quite a few issues.- Dividing pikmin up between both players in co-op mode is pretty difficult. We were always accidentally stealing each others pikmin, especially during boss fights.- If you pull a player into your squad, they follow behind but it's pretty janky and they keep making annoying sounds.- You can chop the monsters by yourself but in this version, the chop doesn't always seem to activate.- The pikmin desync sometimes, where they just stop following you for a few seconds. This seems to happen pretty frequently in mission mode.- Blue pikmin will shoot off in random directions out of the water when trying to fight enemies.- All pikmin shoot off piles of buried stuff rather than starting to dig sometimes.- When locking onto a monster, purple pikmin tend to land right in front of them and get eaten rather than latching on. And the squash effect is just gone now?I also would have liked being able to choose between the characters in the various modes. Like maybe being able to choose Olimar or Louie in subsequent story playthroughs or something. All in all I still recommend this to anyone and everyone. Pikmin is a fantastic series and Pikmin 3 is probably the best addition so far. I only deducted a star because the "Deluxe" version wasn't all that "Deluxe"

My 5 year old loves this!
My 5 year old is a gamer and he loves this game. He beat the demo multiple times before I got this for his half-birthday. There are some times that he asks me to read for him but mostly he has learned through playing around with it and watching YouTube videos. For reference, he's been playing the switch for over a year and is accomplished at Animal Crossing, Super Smash Bros, Mario Party, Pokemon, and all the Kirby games. He has a little trouble with Crash, Spyro, Splatoon, and (winning) Mario Kart. He doesn't understand Mario Maker at all. If your kid is along the same skill-level, they would probably enjoy it. There are nuances that make it fun for older players too.The only downside is that my kid goes 100 on his interests and also wants toys of the games he likes. Pikmin toys are hard to find and can be very expensive. (I got a red Pikmin, blue pikmin, and Olamar for about $40 on eBay, out of box.) This probably won't be a concern unless you anticipate needing a Pikmin Birthday party or Halloween costume- you'll have to get creative!
