This is an ideal solution for those who own "tough" tablets! My fingers are too thick for those "dainty" cellphones, so I own a Tripltek 9 Pro. If you know those tablets - you know - they are heavy, water/dust proof, tough as a hammer! But they are the BRIGHEST tablet on a market used by drone pilots. Someone once complimented it - "it looks like a computer, a phone and a weapon!" This tablet holder is a PERFECT solution for a Triplek 9 Pro! This unit is as tough as my tablet! We put this one into our RV, so when I drive - it faces me in portrait mode. The plastic its made of us durable and it takes quite a bit of effort to break it! Absolutely perfect match to Tripltek! Secured with a 3M sticky tape, but reinforced with 2 (more than plenty) sheet metal screws. It is positioned vertically, so no impact on bumps - it holds really well. Can't say enough how well it is made - it's TOUGH! We purchased a similar one from this company for our truck as well, but with landscape positioning. Both units have served us well for a few years now. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for "tough" guys with "tough" tablets! A+

Best one yet. Rubberized ball prevents walking as you hit bumps. Easy to tighten and loosen. Large ball and industrial look may be unsightly for some, but I like functionality over form. There is some shake with a large, heavy, cased iPad. It is minimal and frankly, steel bolt rigidity is not something I've experienced with any mount. I don't off road but I'm on rough city roads.

I feel like I usually get frustrated trying to get my iPad in and out of the stands.. twisting all of the knobs and levers to get the ipad to sit just right. Not with this one. It's so easy, If you pull on the feet, the stand expands, you put your ipad in, and let go of the little feet and it squeezes the ipad perfectly. We use this in our truck. We cut off the corners of the square mount to fit our diamond base RAM mount. We also got another ball base mount to put in our Roof Top Tent so we can move the Ipad from our vehicle up to our tent. It's so easy and I love this mount so much.

This tablet holder works well; however, the Ram Mounts version is better. I was looking to save some money over the ram mounts version. But at the end of the day there’s always a trade-off. I have the ram mount version for an 8 inch tablet and it is for superior to this unit for holding a tablet in a side-by-side. It’s not that I’m not happy with this purchase, but this tablet holder is not as sturdy and does not grip the tablet as well. But it is doing a decent job and was significantly less than the ram mount version.

Excellent--finally a metal, sturdy holder! I screwed this into plexi that I marine epoxied to my boat. It's nice to know it's going to stay in place. Just what I wanted. The metal construction of the clamp is top-notch. The holder itself is plastic, but sturdy. I'm going to put some more rubber bands around it just to make sure, as it's demanding out there. Unfortunately, I bought another company's plastic cell phone holder, which broke as soon as I breathed on it--complete junk. I just realized Arkon makes a cell version of this also, so I'll be delighted to get that too! Anything else I've seen is plastic junk that will break almost immediately, especially in demanding conditions, and there are very few that screw in solid like this one.

It will hold fine on something not bumpy like a car or a boat. It is very flimsy but it works good for certain purposes
