Easy to set up, works perfectly, appears to be very well made. Hope it lasts, seems like it will.

Seems to be a decent device. The handle unscrews if not enough tension is maintained on the cable/rope/strap when letting out slack.

Works as it should.

I had purchased this winch to replace an electric winch on my 2004 Viking legend pop up camper. This winch appeared to be good quality and the part that I needed but unfortunately when you order it from this seller it is not sold specifically for pop up campers and the lift handle won't clear the A frame on your camper. The mounts lined up fine. If your looking for a lift for a pop up camper I suggest calling Goshen directly if you have that system, I called and they were helpful and knew exactly what the problem was with the part I had ordered and what part I needed to get the lift working. The part was also 20$ cheaper from goshen.

Good hoist works good at a good price as a return , even better

I was looking for a winch for my Shoremaster PWC lift that uses wire cable. The fit required a little modification ( I had to drill an extra hole in the winch) but other than that it is superior to the OEM. The large round handle that came with the lift originally did not fit on it but due to the much better gear ratio it is not needed. In fact I believe it to be a cleaner look. It appears to be well built and I expect it to last a long time.

I used this winch together with a DL strap on a homebuilt wooden cabinet lift. Because it's important to have a controlled spool-out in this application, a brake winch is required. The winch has worked great for me. It's very easy to turn. When I have the load where I want it, I just stop cranking. It's easy to lower the load by cranking the other way. Being made in USA was a great bonus to me.
