I want to marry Betty Azar. Seriously. I wish every ESL program made use of her resources. My program doesn’t, but I bought this as a life-long resource for myself as an ESOL educator and find myself using lots of the examples, exercises and explanations provided in this book in my teaching. You can find a pdf of an earlier version of this free online (illegally, I believe) but having a hard copy was important to me because it is JUST SO GOOD! Haven’t tried the online resources yet.

This is an excellent book for grasping some of the most difficult (and not so difficult) areas of English grammar and usage.I first had this book (an older edition) 30 years ago, when I was teaching English to Italians in Italy. It is very well planned and organized. It is also clear, which many Grammar books are not.

The book was in the condition it was promised, however, the seller failed to acknowledge the previous owner had filled in the answer sections. I would of gladly paid several additional dollars for a book with blank answer sections.

El libro llegó en muy buenas condiciones, sin ningún rasguño y todo impecable, las hojas son de papel normal no papel plástico, es decir pueden escribir con lápiz sin que quede marcó si se equivocan y necesitan borrar. Los gráficos son de buena calidad.

Good book

​I purchased this book as 'New' ($50+), but the cover was not properly glued to the spine, leaving a large gap with exposed glue. I returned the first copy hoping it was just a bad unit, but this replacement copy has the exact same defect. ​It seems the entire batch currently in stock has this binding issue. Since I need this book urgently for my studies, I am forced to keep this defective copy and tape it myself, but the build quality is unacceptable for the price. Be aware that you might receive a copy with poor binding.

Tuve la versión 3 hace muchos años. Adoraba el. Libro hasta que se me perdió. No pude evitar tenerlo de vuelta. Sin duda se nota que se ha actualizado desde que lo tuve. Me parece confuso sin embargo xq hay tantas versiones en Amazon de este mismo libro, no logro entender la diferencia entre ellos.

it is really useful for somebody who wanna learn English

I gave 3 stars because this book has two flaws. 1. In the 5th edition, some new added content are not edited. Some exercise sentences are not accurate. Some multiple choice questions' options have nothing to do with the questions. 2. In the Online resource, answer key for the student book is not provided. So you need to buy another teacher guide book to get student book's answer key. The most annoying thing is at the back of the book cover, it clearly says student answer key is provided in the online resource. Moreover, even if you are ok with spend another 90 AU dollars to buy the teacher guide book just for the answer key, you probably couldn't find it online because It is the newest edition. The online resource and content in the online resource is very useful and worth the price, even for self-study students.
