Great Paint
I purchased a gallon of both Black and Blue JD Select bottom paint. Both went on easily and brushes, roller and pan were super easy to clean up. The can says it will cover approximately 400sq ft and by all calculations I estimated that I should get 2-3 coats per gallon on the bottom of my boat. as it turns out I'll get probably 5-6 coats of black and 4-5 coats of blue. The blue was more prone to drips than the black but in my opinion both are excellent products. I'm very impressed and will continue to use Total Boat and JD Select products.

Impressed with results
Each year I use the least expensive antifouling paint I can find. I bought this because the lower cost paint was out of stock, and I can tell the difference is like night and day. My boat has been sitting in the water for 3 months and there's nothing attached or growing on the sides that I can see. In the past there would be algae growing within the 1st month. I won't know how the bottom held up until I pull the boat out for the season, but I expect it to better than the past using cheaper paint. The cost was worth it.

Poor performance growth after only one month
Easy to apply, but does not perform well I use this on a 15 foot cat boat sailboat. I started getting significant growth in about a month by the end of the season. It was horrible about 6 inches of seaweed growth in some spots. This paint has a low copper content only 25%.

Dries to quick
This paint dries to quickly when you try to roll it on. I ended up putting it into a paint sprayer and spraying it on. If you do roll it on, you have to keep your roller wet with water to be able to cover more area.

Very impressive application quality with painting suit, roller, pan and stir sticks
I have been using various bottom paints wince about 1983. This review has no bias for or against JD Select, in that I bought the product. It was not supplied at reduced cost for a review. OK, so my boat is 41 feet and requires between two and three gallons. I open the first gallon and found very little settling of the heavier compounds. A few minutes with the supplied stir stick, and into the supplied roller pan and application with the supplied roller. Excellent coverage. Very smooth line free dried result. It was 52 degree F and the paint was dry enough to recoat in a little over one hour. No smell at all. I didn't miss the fumes from solvent based paints. Back from the marina I found some paint on my arm, dried. Two seconds under the faucet and the dried paint was gone. The application phase couldn't have gone better. The look of the paint and coverage is excellent. How well will it perform? Only time will tell, I can't review that at this point.
