I've become a fan of curved monitors
I needed a new external monitor since I work from home. I'm not a gamer nor creative professional. My work mostly involves Microsoft Office products, like word, excel, outlook. I also in a lot of virtual meetings. My two biggest requirements were a large screen and high resolution. I often have multiple windows open & wanted to easily fit 3 or 4 windows to work on simultaneously on the monitor. Crisp picture quality was also important. Fuzzy text is so distracting. And since I'm on the computer all day, looking at low resolution text is just an eye sore. I'm very pleased with the 32" 4K monitor I bought. The picture quality is excellent enough that I've also doubled the monitor to stream movies. The built in speakers are also decent. I like that it's versatile to use for office work & streaming movies. The build of the monitor is solid. The base is very sturdy. It's pretty heavy, but I like that. I'd rather it be solid & heavy than need to worry about it tipping over. It does not pivot to portrait, but that's fine for me because I only want to use it in landscape position anyway. It can't securely packaged. And was very easy to set up, practically plug & play. This is my first curved monitor, & I took a chance on it after reading that curved monitors are more ergonomic. And I can attest that it is. Nothing looks weird or warped or distorted due to the curve. Everything on the screen looks clear & easily viewable when sitting in the center of the screen; I hardly have to move my head. But that doesn't mean you have to sit in the center. Everything on the screen is just as easy to view/read when you're at an angle from the center of the monitor. I've been using it for almost a month. No problems. Came with all the necessary cables. I've also attached it to my MacAir & my Dell laptop. The external monitor works equally well with both. That was the true test; if this monitor wasn't compatible with my MacAir, I would've returned it. This monitor is a great value for the price. I did alot of research. For the size of the screen & picture quality, this monitor is excellent! You'll find way more expensive ones that aren't as good. This is a great buy.

Nice replacement for an older 4K monitor
As a graphic artist, I've used LG monitors for years, ending with an LG 27UP600-W (27" 4K) that was getting a bit long in the tooth. Disliking the LG's base/stand (wobbled a lot and didn't hold the monitor level horizontally) and looking for something a bit different, I decided to go to a Dell. I really appreciate the base/stand on Dell monitors (which holds their monitors level with no wobble), and I wanted a bigger, curved screen, 4K resolution, accurate colors, and a 60Hz refresh rate. The Dell S3221QS checks all of these boxes. It's 32", curved, 4K, has nice colors and the 60Hz refresh rate. The blacks are dark and inky. Movies (like 'Avatar: The Way of Water') look good on it. It's a well-built piece of hardware that feels solid. I'm perfectly aware that the colors may not be "quite" as accurate as a screen with IPS technology (this Dell is vertical alignment, or VA), but I appreciate the darker blacks. I also have not seen any major issues with ghosting and tearing with some of the gaming I've done on it. The only downside I've seen so far with this being a VA screen is with viewing angles. Colors can appear washed out if you're looking at this monitor from any direction other than dead center. With that said, I'm rarely, if ever, not viewing this screen from anything other than directly in front of it, so this is not a huge concern. In sum, the Dell S3221QS is a heavy, well-built monitor that's good for general office/productivity use (and some gaming) that meets all of my requirements. It's also about the only sub-$500 monitor on the market, from any manufacturer, with a curved screen, that isn't an ultrawide.

Best value ever in a 32 inch 4K UHD curved panel
I own two of these. Bought one in March 2023 and liked it so much that I bought another in August 2023. A UHD screen size of 32 inches is perfect as a monitor because it's basically 4x 16 inch FHD screens put together, which means the pixel density of this monitor will perfectly match a lot of laptops out there. Also, there's no better way to experience this screen size and pixel density than a curved screen like this. The VA panel is not the best technology in terms of color, but as someone who doesn't need super-accurate color, I am unbothered by this. Also, the built-in speakers that are quite good! I prefer these speakers over the speakers in my M3 MacBook laptops, which are considered to have some of the best speakers out there. In the 2+ years I've owned these, the DisplayPort on one has become weak and touching the cable near the DisplayPort will cause intermittent flicker/blinking, but it works fine as long as I don't touch it. Overall am very happy with this monitor. What's disappointing is Dell no longer sells these! In 2025, there are no curved 32 inch UHD screens available from mainstream brands for this price range $300-400. Everything that combines this size, resolution, and curve are using fancier IPS panels, higher refresh rates, and sell for double to triple what this sold for.

Perfect Budget Monitor For Technophobes
i had bought this for my son's birthday. here are my comments: - the screen is an LCD. i know that i wasn't going to get a big fancy OLED this size for under a thousand dollars, but i feel like the manufacurer had deliberately avoided mentioning the screen type. however, the color quality and visual quality are much better than my previous setup (a 41 inch 30hz LCD samsung smart TV). -the volume is probably the best thing about this: loud sounds are hushed down and background sounds are very easy to hear, ideal for horror or stealth games. i actually have the volume at 1% because xbox doesn't seem to have a native volume control, so i'm sure the speakers could be deafening if you wanted. -the curved screen makes it easier to sit closer to the screen without hurting your eyes, and while the colors don't go very dark, lighter off-whites are very easy to spot. i can't wait to use this for digital drawing. assembly also just involved clicking together a two-piece stand and inserting cables. the monitor even moves a bit to make cable insertion easier. but my favorite thing is that this product is "dumb", it doesn't have any eavesdropping virtual assistants, unneeded internet connectivity, or ads. i bet that it was only $360 because dell marketed this as a "monitor" rather than a "home entertainment platform", however it still has the quality graphics one would expect from a modern appliance. i am a bit mad at amazon for not putting the product into an anonymous brown box before leaving it on my doorstep at 3:30 PM, but i can't blame the seller or manufacturer for that.

Great 32" Monitor
My previous setup was 3 Dell monitors that my workplace provided all landscape (24", 24", 21"). My work is mostly building and proofing Excel models, Powerpoint, and research, and I was looking for a big central monitor to have a wider view in models as well as having a model and a presentation up on my central screen. My setup now is a 24" monitor in landscape (wide, normal, whatever you want to call it) orientation, this monitor in the middle, and a 24" monitor in portrait (tall, sideways) orientation on the other side for email, document scrolling, etc. Monitor had everything I needed right out of the box: monitor, stand (very easy to attach), HDMI, USB downstream, and power cables. Initial setup was straightforward as well. Initially the colors were very muted, but I was able to find a good preset for my liking. I connected to my work computer docking station via HDMI and connected my personal computer to the second HDMI input. Pairing a monitor that easily switches between devices along with multi-device inputs makes transitioning between them incredibly quick and easy. I remapped the Easy Access button (the right-most button on the bottom left) to be an input switch so I can hit one button to flip between the two inputs. I have an MX Master 3 mouse and Keys Advanced keyboard from Logitech, so it's almost seamless to entirely switch between the two laptops. Colors are bright and clear, connectivity is great, and setup was super easy. The curve is noticeable but not dramatic which is what I was going for. The only aspect that I wish were different is the ability to raise the monitor up higher on the included stand. The highest possible level the monitor will raise is just a few inches from my desk, but I could always put a riser of some sort under if needed. Overall, would definitely recommend this upgrade if looking for a work/play monitor with a slight curve. Bought on Prime Day so I snagged it at a good discount, but it's probably worth the list price based on my experience so far.

Worst Customer Service and Defective ReplacementsโNever Again!
I have never experienced such an infuriating and disappointing ordeal with a company as I have with Dell. I purchased a product in June, and after just six months, it completely stopped working. That was frustrating enough, but what followed has been an absolute nightmare. When I reached out to Dell for support, they agreed to replace the defective product. Sounds good, right? Wrong. Every single replacement they have sent me (FOUR in total) has arrived defectiveโcracked screens, non-functional devices, and multiple issues. Each time, I had to go through the hassle of reporting the problems, waiting for another replacement, only to receive yet another faulty unit. Now, after months of this ridiculous cycle, I told Dell that I am done making the effort to return their broken products myself. I requested that they arrange for pickup from my house, as they should. Instead of resolving this, Dellโs system continues to bombard me with reminders that I need to return the unit or face charges. Well, Dell, maybe have your pickup service actually show up as scheduled instead of rescheduling endlessly! At this point, I have had enough. I am keeping the last replacement I received, even though it STILL has a minor defect, simply because I refuse to go through this exhausting, broken process again. Dellโs customer service is atrocious, their replacement process is a joke, and their products clearly have major quality control issues. Save yourself the frustration and avoid Dell at all costs. I know I will never purchase from them again.

Great for a bright room & nice quality
I have a 27" Dell 2K monitor I got over 10 years ago. Still looks like new. Works great and looks great. My wife needed to replace her 23" Toshiba all in one computer. So I got this 4K Dell 32" and a Beelink mini computer. She uses her computer with her back to the windows in a bright well lit room. Glare has always been a bit of a pain on the computer monitor. This Dell has the same non-glare matt screen as my 27". And with the slightly curved screen it really fights the glare. Perfect. No sunlight glare. Bright high detail picture out of the box. Off axis viewing isn't too bad. And the speakers are pretty nice. 5 watts (many monitors only 2 watts) and plenty loud but a little flatly tuned.. I was going to get a sound bar but instead I just downloaded a windows 11 sound equalizer app. and voila! Nice sounding speakers and ok bass! No desktop clutter by adding speakers! The USB C in and out is a great bonus but I haven't used it yet. Make sure you download the latest monitor driver from Dell. (Windows update doesn't install this).

Great screen and speakers
12-years ago I bought one of Dell's first 4k monitors it finally started having problems this week. I had a look on Amazon and saw this at a bargain price(less than I paid 12-years ago) and decided to give it a try even though I really wanted a flat monitor. It's FANTASTIC. The 60hz refresh rate produces very smooth text and window movement; I use it at the full 3840-2160 resolution with Windows 11 set to 150% scaling. It really is fantastic to have two windows side by side on a single monitor. The text is clear and sharp, although the monitor has a matt like finish appearance. I sit in my home office with the monitor at a 90ยฐ from an open bright window, even so, I run the monitor at on 40% brightness and the contrast at 60%. The most surprising part of the monitor is the sound. It comes complete with built-in speakers. I was somewhat skeptical as I purchased an "upmarket" sound bar for my old monitor. The sound is great, good separation, effective bass, and crisp, clear treble. In order to use the speakers you will have to plug-in to the upstream USB port as it is USB rather than HDMI driven sound. Finally, I actually like the curved screen it's hard to put my finger on why, but after 40-years of using flat screen monitors, I'm a convert.

Beware of using it with M1 mac
Perfect monitor, especially for its price. However there's an issue with M1 macs - display starts blinking a little when there're a lot of dark colors with minor contrasting light details (HDMI to HDMI on M1 mac mini). And with DP to USB-C it ghosts for a few seconds once in a minute or so, which is way worse. Yet it works perfectly well with Intel-based macs. I hope it will be fixed soon either by Apple or Dell.

Pathetic customer support from Amazon and the seller
Didn't expect this from such a expensive monitor . I purchased this product and it has lot of issues , it keeps on flickering when i connect i to my laptop . I tried to contact dell customer care and they don't have any solution for the problem i have. When i asked for return of this product , Amazon team is not helpful in this at all , they keeps on asking me to wait for seller to reply and they cant create return request themselves . Seller is busy in his own world , and no response from them . Its been 1 week and i have been still waiting for the team to resolve me issue .
