Battery incompatible with Canon SD500 E18 failure code
Battery arrived in fully discharged condition, less than 10%. It is a "Power2000" brand Battery with a higher 900mAh capacity. Unfortunately it has compatibility problems with my Canon SD500. After charging it worked temporarily in my camera only to fail with an error code E18. "E18" represents "lens problem" or a battery that is not compatible. Removing and re-installing the battery, the camera worked again for a couple of photos, but when trying to turn off the camera it failed again. Removing the battery several times I was able to take photos, with additional E18 Code failures. With repeat removal of the battery, it works for the moment. I recharged and will try Camera today...If there success or problems I will update again. Battery is definitely "Maybe" for working with Canon.

Great long lasting battery - good buy
I bought this battery to replace the battery that came with my Sony Powershot Elph. The old battery ran out of charge each time while I was using the camera - even if taking only a dozen shots and no video. This battery shipped quickly, charged up right away without issue, and I've been able to use it for multiple photo op sessions without having to recharge for a long period of time, just like my original battery did when brand new. Thought I would keep my old battery as back-up 'just in case', but as good and lasting as this one has proven, I don't need to. It's true that 'batteries die' - you can only recharge so many times.

Out of the box it worked ok
On the initial charge this battery did not half a charge, but after a couple of charges that issue has disappeared.

All Camera Batteries are not alike
When my wife's Powershot battery finally died I rushed out to the local Battery store for the replacement. I was really impressed with the hundreds of batteries this company had in inventory but alas, they did not have the proper one for my wife's camera. They almost convinced me that they could solve my problem by special ordering one replacement for $30.00. On Second thought I went to Amazon and purchased two batteries for $6.00. They are TERRIFIC.
