Solid figures with the most 90's veneer.
I caught it on a good sale for $78, which is significantly lower than its MSRP at $99.99. In reality I would give this 4 1/2 stars if I could, as there are touches of disappointments. The GOOD: The paint work is spot on. They put in a ton much work into the G2 'flight team' decoration, as well as little details such as painted silver missiles on Air Raid. When in the combined Superion form, he holds up pretty well and not too heavy in any one area. The BAD: Some slight quality control issues. A Combiner Joint cover on Silverbolt is looser than the others for some reason. Powerglide is the worst of the bunch: his legs do not want to stay together in plane mode, and his rear flaps love to fall off. The MEH: Firefly and Skydive are identical molds, so something is lost going for the G1-G2 authenticity. The 4 limb Transformers have almost the exact same transformations, so he's much closer to something like Voltron than say, Devastator. He is overwhelmingly bright blue, much more so than the pictures show, so if that's not your thing you might be better off with the Takara or the original decorations. If you haven't picked up any Aerialbots yet and don't mind the G2 decoration, this set is a solid solution. The mini-poster is a nice touch. Overall, for the sheer convenience of having all the Aerialbots at once, this set is hard to pass up.

This set is a good back-up choice if the individual Aerialbots are not in your collection. While the colors are G2, the fact that this is a boxed set with all original Aerialbots (no Alpha Bravo) plus Powerglide compelled me to purchase it. Plus, the cost is cheaper than buying the figures individually.

Early 90s goodness.
I have a soft spot for generation 2 and have the hardest time turning down any generation 2 deco. Pair that with combiners and I can't help myself. Superion looks awesome, like an unapologetic fruit punch blast from 1993. Love this set.

This is my second Combiner Wars pack and I'm pleased with it for the most part
This is my second Combiner Wars pack and I'm pleased with it for the most part. First of all each individual figure looks great when displayed in their airplane and robot modes. Transforming the smaller (deluxe class) figures is where I start to have a bit of an issue . They feel light and kind of cheap , like you're going to break them while transforming them. Some of the joints feel very very loose and I'm not sure how long they will hold up to extensive play. Silverbolt , the big voyager class, holds up much better as his joints and articulation points feel nice and stiff with ratcheting connections . The real draw of this pack is Superion himself. When combined he looks AWESOME and is worth the price alone in my opinion . He holds together pretty well and has some good articulation points. My verdict: if you are buying this for an yourself or an adult , who will display it and maybe change its form every so often this is a definite buy. If you're buying it for a child or someone who will constantly play and transform them , I'd be careful as they don't seem like they will hold up to constant play.

Five Stars ...with a few caveats.
I was beyond thrilled when Hasbro announced they'd be releasing boxsets of Combiner Wars Superion, Menasor, and Bruticus in G2-inspired color schemes. I'm a huge Transformers Generations 2 fan and by-and-large love the ridiculous color schemes that era gave us, warts and all. If you're at all familiar with the Combiner Wars Aerialbot figures, this boxset won't hold any surprises for you; G2 color-deco aside, these are exact same toys that were available individually at retail last year. That said, this giftset isn't without issues. There appears to be a problem with the pinned hinge on Silverbolt's wrist that allows his hands to fold away and reveal the combiner ports in Superion mode. I'm not sure if its the result of a misfired pin, or a weaker form of plastic... but after a single transformation, the plastic holding Silverbolt's left hand in place cracked and the result is his fist is no longer pinned in place on the hinge joint and can freely fall out of place. I've seen others report the same issue, both here and on fan forums so its a problem that you should be aware of if you're considering purchasing this set.

Technicolor fever dream
The colors are exactly as wild and wooly as I hoped they would be. This set as with all of the Combiner Wars figures really needs the Perfect Effect feet enhancements. The stock hands are fine, but the feet really make all the combiners wobbly. This is a minus but unique or specific to this particular combiner so I left it at 5 stars. The G2 Powerglide is a nice touch. The little details like the patterns on the wings and the numbering 1-5 are great throwbacks to the original G2 and just help to liven it up. No evidence of Gold Plastic Syndrome......yet. Looking forward to G2 Menasor and G2 Bruticus.

Son plays with it.
My son loves to play with these transformers. There are a few issues with fit of the toy when totally built in to larger robot, but over all its playable and he enjoys it. But if the parts would lock better into place, this item would of gotten 5 stars

Great toy!!
According to my 6 year old son: "I really like him and I play with him in battles a lot!". Seriously though, he has gotten a TON of play time out of this toy, and it's like a giant Rubik's cube too so I feel like it's good for his development.

Great toy that brings back memories
This is a great toy (or toys). I had the original Superion gift set back in the 80s, but this toy is way better. The articulation is great on all the individual bots as well as on Superion. The only extra parts to form Superion other than the weapons are the hands and feet - the head and chest plate are all integrated into the Silverbolt figure. I also, like that Silverbolt is only a little bit taller than the arm and leg bots (in the original toys, Silverbolt was way taller than the others and looked out of place). No quality issues with my set other than PowerGlide - I don't know why Hasbro includes PowerGlide with this set - not too impressed with his figure and my copy at least doesn't stay together very well in jet mode and he isn't really necessary (he just adds onto Superion's gun). I am not too crazy about the G2 colour scheme, but it grows on you. I also, have the Combiner Wars Cyclonus toy and I think substituting Cyclonus for Silverbolt as the body for the combiner looks even better! The colours on the G2 Aerialbot arms and legs work work fairly well with Cyclonus and I generally prefer the Cyclonus toy to Silverbolt. I love Transformer jets so the Aerialbots are my favorite combiner team. I do think the regular price is a bit high for this set - when you compare it to the cost of buying the individual Combiner Wars toys, but I picked it up when Amazon had it on sale for a more reasonable price.

Great product and efficient delivery
My son like it, itโs perfect for a rare collection of combined wars. The delivery was efficient and itโs surrounded by a bubble wrap.
