Best Mandolin Strap!
This is my 3rd purchase. Quality is SUPERB!

Good
It's a my first mandolin strap for my first mandolin. At first I attached a ukulele strap to my mandolin, but after watching a lot of mandolin tutorials, I wanted a strap specifically for mandolin. This leather strap gives me a different feeling. I'm not used to this small shoulder strap yet, but I feel like it's made of good quality leather and is sturdy enough. I hope I can use it for a long time.

REALLY short
It's very short. For over the neck, it might fit a child. I'm 6'4", 250 lbs and I'm going to have to use it over my right shoulder on its longest adjustment. But I need a strap so I'm living with it for now. Might gift it to a kid or a small woman when I find one that fits a grown man.

May not fit your F style.
I have two of these. If you wear your mandolin the way Bill Monroe did, tucked up under your arm and strap over your right shoulder—not the left—to better brace the neck, the length is fine. If you wear it hanging low like Sam Bush, it won’t work. If you put the strap over your left shoulder—and you shouldn’t—it may not be long enough. If you want to loop the strap around the headstock, it may be long enough over y9ur right shoulder, but barely, and awkwardly. This has the LOOK and width I wanted, but I’m not sure is this is real leather or manufactured leather. It’s very stiff. You can help that by rolling it from one end to the other with your fingers, front and back, to relax it a bit. However, the leather is quite thick. I have a couple very nice hand-made F-style mandolins. Generally the loop of the strap slides easily around the scroll. It’s been done that way for generations. But it won’t with my mandolins. I could just barely work the strap through the widest opening in the scroll. No way would the strap just slide through. I’ve contemplated sanding down the back to make it thinner so it would slip on and off, but I’ve hesitated as I’m not sure if it is solid leather. Of course, it you have a strap button on the heel of the neck, that’s okay. By the way, this has a buckle to adjust the length, which is quite traditional. However, be aware that buckles can scratch up your fine instrument, even in the case. I wrapped some black electrical tape around the buckle and more around the leftover end hanging from the buckle.

Great strap
I really like this strap. It's not stiff or rough like new leather tends to be. It's soft and supple and though not being wide, it is still a very comfortable strap. I'm glad I spent the extra money because it was well worth it.

Installed easily on my Hora... then uninstalled itself.
Installed very easily on my Hora Portuguese II mandolin, the second one I bought should fit well on the scroll of my F style ibanez. To the reviewer who complained of the strap being too narrow/thin... I mean if this was a guitar strap yeah it would be unacceptable, but it's holding a sub 5lb mandolin. It's not gonna break, it would just be terribly awkward to put a 3 inch strap on one and I think they acknowledge that. <~ I redact this and apologise to the other reviewer. This strap broke. It isn't real leather, it's fake. Don't buy

Perfect For The Price
Good quality and looks like it will last. Using it on an A style mandolin, the strap is a bit bulky so fitting it under the strings at the nut might be tricky. The body connection is robust but I'd still recommend a strap lock. Has a very simple, classic look. It compliments the natural wood finish on my mandolin well. Very pleased with the purchase.
