The C64 Micro Switch Joystick - Clear (Electronic Games)

it's good , same as the 'thec64' joystick, but better than the one that comes with the mini. well worth buying and having 2 joysticks, when plugged in with the one that comes with the console , it will act as the second plugged in joystick, some games want you to be in p1 slot or p2 slot on original games, this allows you to quickly put one down and pick up the other stick, so you don't have to mess around by having 2 stick plugged in. good quality, but isn't quite the same as the original from the 80's, still micro switched. but the way it's implemented isn't as good and doesn't have the steel rod going all the down to where the micro switches are. shame. but still it's a good stick.

Been playing with SWOS 2000 on Windows, works pretty well, joystick is great, but big buttons aren't the same quality and are very twitchy and inconsistent. Not enough to ruin the game, just not as precise as it otherwise could be.

The A500 mini comes with a mouse and joypad. The first is essential for the GUI, which is the same as on the original Amigas, but most games were written for mouse or joystick not a joypad. I couldn't play a lot of games because the joypad is not very responsive to diagonal movement. Unfortunately you need the joypad plugged in to navigate the menus so you are stuck with it. This should have been with the A500 mini to start with although supply problems meant there was a big gap between me buying the A500 mini and being able to play some games. A necessary and well made product for Amiga fans.

Works well. Durability not so. Stick snapped, glued it but snapped again at glue point.

I bought this as a replacement for the the joystick that came with my mini TheC64 as I found the supplied joystick unresponsive and just awkward to use. This replacement is much better with clicky microswitches that give a better response rate and overall just feels better than the non-microswitches variant which I found horrible to use. One thing this joystick will not do is make some C64 games easier as some titles were notoriously difficult back in the day and they definitely have not got any easier today! Overall satisfied with my purchase. I've not tried it on a PC but with it being USB I cannot see it posing too much of a problem.

Bought two for Pimiga, microswitches are way too heavy, sticks creak and are stiff, buttons are horrible. Handle broke clean off one playing Sensible Soccer. Amazon wouldn't handle a return after a few months and Koch distribution have been taken over by a company that doesn't reply to warranty requests. Going to salvage parts to convert my 30 year old Zipsticks to usb. These are no where near as high quality as a comp pro or Zipstick.

I bought this to use with my A500 mini. It works perfectly, as you would expect being made by the same company. My first impression was how loud the microswitches are, its a really mechanical click when you move the joystick, very 80's arcade :-) That does prove to be distracting at first but you soon get used to it. The joystick can rotate, which is also distracting, making your hand slip occasionally. The most annoying thing is the buttons aren't labeled, like red, yellow, blue, green etc, so it is very confusing when trying to map the buttons, a sticker in the box would have been an ideal addition. Overall I'm glad I bought it, I'll use it for some games because that is the only way to play Alien Breed properly for example, but then I'll also use the joypad for others. It completes my Amiga.

Guter Joystick mit belegbaren Tasten hinten und vorne. Hat bei dem Spiel Wings! auf dem PC prima funktioniert und die Verarbeitung ist meiner Ansicht auch völlig in Ordnung. Mittlerweile leider etwas teuer, von daher besser warten bis er wieder im Angebot ist. Von mir insgesamt eine Kaufempfehlung.

Molto preciso e ben fatto. Feeling come quello originale. Ottimo per i giochi retrò. Ha 8 tasti tutti configurabili diversamente ma ovviamente è comodo principalmente con giochi a un tasto. Unico difetto è che il tasto grande preme già con una leggerissima pressione e non premendolo completamente, basta sfiorarlo (tutto quel gioco del tasto è finto). Piena compatibilità con tutti i sistemi, funziona addirittura con kinhank. Resta fermo sul tavolo. Consigliato
