I think this is marketing strategy and not a real feature.

How is the fit for older adults?

I'm 61, and these headphones fit me fine. However, I think that asking about age is the wrong question; the right question would be about head shape. IOW, do they fit my head? When I was younger and getting my pilot's license, I didn't get David Clark headsets. Why? They didn't fit! I could never raise the ear cups high enough, so that the top of the cup would bend my ear. It's all in how they fit you.
