Best shorts in this price range
These are the best shorts in this price-range in my opinion. I can compare these to several Canari shorts I own and I prefer the Sugio's. I haven't had the Sugios too long so my longest single ride with them is 45 miles. No issues whatsoever. When I look for shorts, I have three criteria......durability, fit, and chamois. Let's face it, most shorts are very similar when it comes to the material and leg grips. The chamois and fit are the most important qualities for me. I can't speak for durability yet as I don't have a history. These do seem to run one size smaller than my Canari shorts so I got one size larger in the Sugios. Even at one size up, they are a little tighter in the legs compared to the smaller Canaris. In the seat and privates section, perfect fit. The chamois is very comfortable and I will put longer rides on these shorts to really test them out.

my first bike shorts
fit is great, feel is great, padding is right. friend recommended sugoi. It is my first bike shorts and have been impressed by the quality of the product as well the cost. I just started getting into cycling and was using just shorts. Started to get some pain in you know where. So after a bit of a break, tried these puppies. They really make the ride much much more comfortable. I also have sensitive skin, so was worried about irritation, especially around the waist band, but the material they use doesn't cause any irritation.overall very happy with this purchase

Improvements have been made
I purchased a pair of these a few years ago and decided to go with them again because they have served me well. Sugoi have made improvements over the previous designs, all of which I like. The pad is better, the material the shorts are made out of feel better against my skin. I look forward to buying another pair of shorts soon.

good, comfortable shorts
I was interested in Sugoi since they are a Canadian company and I believe in supporting local businesses. I have a Sugoi tri-suit that is made in Canada as well, so was somewhat surprised to find the bike shorts are not made in North America. Although this is a little disappointing, the shorts are great; comfortable, fit properly, shipped quickly and great value.

Good and affordable short for non-racers
I would recommend this short or the Pearl Izumi Quest one for cyclists looking for a durable and comfortable pair of shorts and ride 15-60km at a time. The only con is that the fabric at the crotch area is slightly loose and tends to catch on the saddle nose occasionally.

Very large chamois
The shorts are longer than typical and the chamois is very large and bulky even though it is not gel. The chamois is very wide between the legs. The stitching started to come undone at the leg cuffs after one use and wash. I would look at other options for shorts.OK, after a half dozen washes these shorts became more comfortable. They are usable now and OK for the price but still not great.

Best shorts that I own.
I'm not one to shell out more than fifty bucks on my cycling attire, jerseys or shorts. These are one of the best pairs that I own. Sizing should run true to what you typically wear; no drawstring, but drooping not an issue; nice compression; and the chamois is ideally placed and cushioned.

Solid bike shorts for a good price.
Solid "no frills" bike shorts for a good price. Exactly what I was looking for. No draw string waist ties. In case that matters. I like them though. They make me feel secure in my pants. Also, fyi, no pocket. I'd definitely buy these shorts again.
