Purchased this to connect the ADU of a property to the main network that was already using the Ubiquity equipment. Very easy and straight forward adoption process and great portable form-factor. Slick modern design. Quet. Solid design! This was mounted inside an in-wall enclosure and due to its size it fit their perfectly with plenty of room for other wiring.

This switch is used for PoE for a security system that was installed after someone broke into our shed. It has been in use for about 10 months without a single hiccup. This manufacturer's product seems to be more of a prosumer level product rather than baseline consumer which is especially good when concerned about reliability. The item runs relatively cool, and quality is quite good for the money.

Meets our needs for a small Unifi installation

Have several of these in use. We have some remote locations in our complex, where a rack switch would be over kill. The only disappointment is that the POE support is 'active' only, not 'passive' so you have a POE passive device, you will need a POE injector. Wish every port was POE, not just 4 of the 8. They work well in ambient temperature rooms, completely silent, work reasonably well under heavy use, at least for us.

I am just learning about vlans, managed switches, pfsense, and unifi network controller. This small 8 port switch was well rated, had 4 port of PoE+, and didn't break the bank while learning and getting started. As my network and knowledge expands, this switch will still be useful in various positions in the network. So far i'm impressed by it's build quality and software to control it.

Our other UniFi switch decided to stop working after 6 years. We needed a fast replacement and found it on Amazon as the original manufacturer would take weeks to get it delivered from the UK. We were very impressed the seller sent out the package immediately after we placed our order, so we received sooner than expected. The unit has been working steadily well for the last 2 weeks. Will update product review in another 6 months.

You need to have a bit of tech savvy to set everything up properly but this is a top notch product. Nice and compact. Mine came with the wrong mains adapter but the seller sent me the right one at no extra charge very quickly after contacting them
