Chef Boyardee Cheese Pizza Maker, 31.85 oz

Have been making pizzas with this mix for over 50 years. Several years ago they quit putting the parmesan and romano cheese in the kit which is disappointing but the sauce is still quite delicious and it makes a nice base so I can build the pizza the way I like it. If you don't mind taking the extra time to make it yourself this is a good kit to start with.

I’ve eaten this as a kid to adult growing up. This pizza has never let me down for some feel good food. I was surprised to find the cheese was no longer included but i always have Parmesan cheese in the house so it’s no big deal. If you asked me where to get my favorite pizza honestly it’s right in this box haha! The smell and flavor are pretty much the same. I think the difference for me is in the 90’s we had old rationed crisco that my mom wiped on the pan and not what we have now. Other than that I’d say it 99% the same. Love it and will always have a box in my house

Great Pizza Kit.

The Chef Boyardee pizza kit started me on my pizza making journey many years ago. The dough is easy to make and work with. The sauce (I don't recommend the pepperoni sauce) is amazingly tasty. Just choose your toppings (less is better) and have fun. Get the regular kit, not the pepperoni, and add your own pepperoni, cheese and toppings.

Overall this is a fun kit and great overall value as you get two packs of the dough and a can of pizza sauce. It makes a lot of dough so I only used one pack one day and one pack another day. However, please read the tips below! Pro-tips: 1) You need to provide your own toppings and cheese. I made one with ham and cheese and another with simply cheese. 2) It makes a lot of dough so if you are just one or two people think about only using one pack of dough at a time as it comes with two packs. 3) Use a disposable throw away pizza pan or container or cook atop lots of aluminum foil you can throw away because the dough is very sticky as you don’t want to spend an hour trying to get it off a pizza pan or tray.

If we came home from school and that tell-tale aroma of ammonia meant that Mom and her friends had spent the day giving one another home perms. It was the immediate indicator that there would be a Chef Boyardee pizza for dinner that night! Move forward a few years and it's time for those school group projects. Everyone wanted to do it at my house because they knew my mom would be making us pizza. So, what makes this great? It's a combination of the dough - yeasty enough to expand and support toppings and the sauce - a deeply rich, well spiced (seasoned) tomato based goodness. Everyone got a little section of the tray pizza (we were a big family!) and put our favorite toppings on and then they would get covered in piles of cheese, sprinkled with oregano, basil and anise seed and then dusted with salt right out of the oven. Perfection. Oh, and well coiffed women.

I buy these because I ate them as a kid. It brings back good memories as well as tastes good too

Not like the pizza they used to sell years ago when it came with everything you needed right in the box. Now all you get is a bland tasting dough with some fair tasting sauce.

Buyer beware!! It says (pack of 6) this is false. You get one box that makes 2 pizzas. Way over priced for that!
