*update: a year later, no issues and just as new!! everything still works as new, the noise must be nothing. absolutely recommend. MacBook is amazing for Adobe apps and Blender I was hesitant buying a used laptop from amazon but the quality and appearance of it was good! The box scared me as it didn’t come with bubble wrap around the laptop, just a cardboard slot that held it😬it turned out just fine and nothing was damaged, which i bought one that was in excellent condition. the screen, battery life, charger, touch bar, and keyboard all worked as they should. the laptop heating happens but that every laptop, i use this for the Adobe Creative Suite and Blender so very demanding apps, but even with those running it ran amazing. only issue i heard but a whirring noise but it doesn’t effect the laptop at all. Eventually going to get it checked out since i got Asurion insurance on it. overall great purchase and quality! if your looking for an affordable and reliable laptop i suggest buying one off amazing renew with insurance! best renewed experience i’ve had for sure. apple products work so well for graphic designers

The screen quality of this computer and physical quality is great. The computer had been working great for about a month or two, but now all of a sudden is giving me a substantial amount of problems. All of a sudden the computer started shutting down windows that I was working in including google chrome, safari, my finder windows and other applications. It also started to randomly shut down the whole computer on me. It would make a noise from the fan inside the computer and then just shut down. It also has been throwing several different errors. I am hoping to speak with someone in order to make this situation right, and I will update this review as soon as I do, but I am having a very hard time reaching anyone from BuySPRY to fix this situation and am extremely frustrated with the fact that this product was marketed as 'like new' and refurbished to an original operating state and am having these sort of issues. I hope that this company will make this right, I would be extremely grateful and also would commend and recommend this company to anyone who wants to buy from them. But if this problem remains as is, then I would recommend not buying from them. I tried calling and their phone lines are 'unavailable' and I have been trying their live chat option at BuySPRY.com and I cannot reach anyone. I left a message and am hoping to hear back and am going to send an email as well. I'll keep you all posted... :/

I’m already a fan of the Mac ecosystem, so this review is really about the renewed condition. I’ve bought several Amazon Renewed products before, and they’ve always worked exactly as expected. This MacBook Pro is the first one I’ve had with even a minor issue: one of the four USB-C ports won’t charge the battery. Everything else functions perfectly. Outside of that quirk, I absolutely love this machine. It handles all my real-world needs—website development, video editing, streaming, and school—without breaking a sweat. I don’t game, so I can’t speak to performance there, but for productivity and creative work, it’s more than capable and saves a ton compared to buying new. I also grabbed an adapter, and it connects to my dual monitors without any trouble, giving me two or even three screens depending on what I’m working on.

Update: Touch ID stopped working, Apple couldn’t fix it. I took it in and they said this laptop had been in for repairs and suggested that it had been heavily repaired. They also instantly noticed just putting it in diagnostic mode made it very very hot which is not normal. They said it was super sketchy and likely junk. I guess you get what you pay for. Bought two of these. One came barely protected when packaged, unwrapped and barely any bubble wrap. The other came vacuum sealed with lots of bubble wrap. First computer had scratches and a handful of dents/dings, granted they are very small and minor but still. The second laptop had no nicks or anything and only two cycles! I guess it is luck of the draw for these but for my two they were definitely excellent condition if not better for the second one. Overall I think this deal is insane these laptops were originally 2800$ and they still feel new. Only nick I have for them is they get extremely hot very easily/fast if multitasking at all. I still think at 600$ you can’t beat this deal.

This was my 4th Mac, 3rd MacBook Pro, and 1st refurbished purchase, but I figured at such a low price, with additional purchase of a comprehensive insurance plan from Asurion (note: insurance is NOT included), it was a worthwhile investment. Ordering was a breeze, and shipping was prompt. The computer was securely packaged, arriving on the day promised, looked good and functioned beautifully for a few days shy of 10 months, until overnight, it unexpectedly ceased working. I am so thankful that I followed my instinct to BUY THE ASURION INSURANCE. After the Mac was evaluated by The Genius Bar, and subsequently shipped off for repair, 24 hours later I received the news it was beyond repair, and a full refund was issued, proving the INSURANCE an excellent purchase. All that being said, I've already purchased and received a renewed MacBook Air, and am currently shopping inventory of other renewed MacBook Pros, with intent to buy. Trust me, all of these products are, or will be FULLY INSURED as well.

I purchased this as a studio laptop for recording and mixing. I have a Yamaha MOFX 8 and a MX49. I have been exclusively PC for the past 20+ years for studio, but thought I would give the MAC a go. First off, out of the box, it work, no issues. The packaging was the MacBook covered in a thin sleeve for transport, and placed in a generic box, no big deal, I don't keep boxes or packaging. Initial set up for accounts, Apple, google, and MS was really simple. It took me a total of 10 min get set up. As for the studio software including the various midi programs and so on, it was super easy. Typically, setting up studio software and midi adaptors take about a solid 8 hours to get just right. However, the MacBook was very intuitive and after software was downloaded, the rest was just plug and play. Took a total of 1 hour for complete set up and into recording and mixing. This again was super easy and I will be leaving a separate review for this. I have one external monitor and 3 other USB devices hooked into the MacBook, all with no issues. The portability and ruggedness of the MacBook is the sole reason for me getting it, but the ease it provides me in set up is the reason I am keeping it. 5 Stars.

Great computer all though had a few issues at first with some charges coming in after the purchase trying to charge me again from different country's. I find the battery life doesn't last as long as my 2013 macbook pro.

Like Brand New. Works Perfectly. No Battery Issues. Mint Condition like came New cuz I think it did come new. Bootcamp works perfectly runs fast. Touch bars coil. Genuinly amazing. It says 16 GB ram but I got 32 GB ram instead and that is amazing

Very very little use and nothing but issues with charging ! Charges intermittently, Chargers make a high pitch noise when charging. Definitely not a product to rely on. Customer support is mediocre at best. Do not buy this product if you intend to rely on it !
