Good product
Feels good quality and it's heavy for what it is. Does a good job at retaining bits. Used it for holding a brass wire brush with a 1/4" hex attached to my 3/8 impact as I don't own a drill. Did a very good job at holding on to the bit whilst I was using the impact at max speed to clean parts on my car.

Good quality
Good quality but needs some silicon or moly grease for smoother operation.

So far with light use, this has held up well.
So far with light use, this has held up well. Mainly bought it to cover any gaps in a basic machinist toolkit I've been putting together for general maintenance and working on woodworking machinery. As I can use bits for the power tools. So mainly for holding any sockets or larger Allen's I have that are 1/4 hex when I don't have a 3/8. The bit itself seems sturdy and has a relatively narrow profile and as it mechanically rather than magnetically holds a bit it can hold much bigger bits upside down than a magnetic adapter albeit for being slightly thicker. Only downside for me were the coating seems kind of cheap, it's already wearing away with very limited use. And both pro and con it has a cut out to securely held the detente, I've only used this with my wera 3/8 which has a button to retract detente, so for me it comes off fairly easily. You might well have to detach this with a punch depending on your ratchet though.

Does not hold bits !
This 3/8 drive but holder only holds the odd bit. It’s tolerances do not cover all hex bits and they fall out making it pointless.

It fits perfectly on my Milwaukee 3/8 wrench with hog ring. The hex drive holds the bit securely. The standard Western bit from groove to the end measures about 9mm (top pic). The Japanese style bit measures about 16mm (bottom pic). This will not fit and locked properly However, this will work for Japanese tools like Makita, which will also locked the Western bit.
