Fisher-Price Octonauts Gup D Playset

I bought almost the entire set of Octonauts toys for my nephew for his birthday and my sister tells me he plays with these toys for HOURS! He loves them, they are great and they are made very well! Some of the toys can be played in the bath, you just have to make sure you read the box before putting it in the bath. I highly recommend these toys.

My grandson just had his 3rd birthday and we have a clear water pond & water falls for him to play in along with an adult. So he took all of his Gup & Octonaut toys out to play with in the pond. Except those toys with batteries in them, they had to be played with on the grass lawns or in the house. Great learning tools for teaching toddlers about sea creatures and having make believe play time fun.

My son's favorite show is the Octonauts on the Disney channel. Of course for some reason the US has not figured out they could make a lot of money selling these toys, so the only place you can find these cute little figures is overseas. I've bought most of this set from this seller (Toy Crazes) and I have to say I am very impressed with the turn around time. Even though shipping estimates were 1 month or more - I recieved most of them within a week to two weeks. Some even faster than things I ordered in the US! Toy Crazes has been a lifesaver for me! The price is expensive, but given that the only place you can buy these products is from the UK, I understand. I saw that the price changed a bit on this (as most do on amazon) and watched this product to see if I could get it for the cheapest I could. Thank you Toy Crazes for making these available to us here in the US. My son (3 years old) loves playing with the Gup-D. It works great in the tub or on the floor (with the little wheels on the bottom). He has no truble putting Barnacles in the Gup. It's strudy and I'm not worried he is going to break something. I like that the breathing tube is blue, so it is easy to find and doesn't get lost in the tub. The only thing I wish is that Captain Barnacles helmet came off. We've used this in the tub and now there is condensation inside his helmet from the water that made it up there. It's the only thing we don't love about this set. Not to say that does not prevent my son from playing with it daily!

These are good bath toys and they hold up well to the demands of small kids. For what you get though, I find them somewhat expensive.

The Gup D is our son's favorite Gup from the show Octonauts. He loves to play with this toy both in and out of the bathtub. Captain Barnacles little air tube stores nicely away beneath the Gup for safe keeping. Only thing I wish is that the Octopod was a little larger to be a little better matched size to the large Gup toys. Other than that, this toy is great!

Our son LOVES Octonauts so this was an easy choice for him, he loves it! We've ordered a bunch of these toys and they all hold up great! Always worth the money.

We were thankful that there was a source for the Octonaut toys. I think it unfortunate that FP has no plans until 2013 to begin marketing these toys in the US. I was impressed with the quality and design of the toys. The service from this Amazon seller was fast and accurate.. I would not hesitate to order again.

A little pricey for a kids toy but one it becomes available in the US and Canada the price will drop considerably. The toy itself is sturdy but the release button for the net is difficult to push for me and impossible for my daughter who is 5. You have to push it (3) times for it to release. On a better note, my daughter loves this toy and plays with it in the tub everyday.

Das war ein Geschenk für einen kleinen Jungen, der sich genau das gewünscht hatte. Lieferung war ohne Probleme und das Spielzeug war von der Qualität auch überzeugend.

The gup is well made and child proof, and Barnacles in his unique divers suit is nice. But the tube that connects the Gup to Barnacles suit got lost straight away. Their is place under the gup for the tube to be tidied away and not lost. The button on the gup to send air through the tube into barnacles suit so he can rise/sink in water works quite well and is fun for the kids at bath-time. the net that attaches to the front of the gup does not stay in because of this tube arrangement the net fits in too loosely and just falls out. But its not that big of a deal, and is a must for my childs collection.

I miei bambini sono dei fans scatenati degli octonauti, quindi gli ho regalato questi pesonaggi per Natale. Sono belli, robusti, di ottima fattura e utilizzabili in acqua. Anche le grosse dimensioni li rendono dei giocattoli di grande successo ma mai troppo ingombranti. tempi di consegna rispettati e imballo buono.

Unser Sohn (3 1/2 Jahre alt) ist "Oktonauten-Hardcore-Fan" und daher landete dieses Boot zeitgleich mit dem Oktopod unterm Christbaum. Die Freude war riesengroß, unser Kleiner spielt ausgiebig damit - auch in der Badewanne. Die Funktionen bei den Oktonauten sind sehr reduziert, was sehr angenehm ist. Soll heißen: kein überflüssiger technischer Schnick-Schnack, keine nervenden Geräusche, keine Batterien, nichts das ablenkt, nur reines Kinder-Spiel - wie erfrischend und schön! Gibt es heute ja nicht mehr allzu oft .... Qualitätiv sehr gut, alle Oktonauten-Spielzeuge (wir haben seit rund 4 Monaten noch ein paar mehr) halten einer "Dauer-Bespielung" leicht stand, auch Runterfallen u.ä. macht nichts aus. Sehr robust, das hatten wir anfangs nicht vermutet, da doch alles im Grunde nur Plastik ist. Das führt aber leider auch diesem einen Punkt Abzug: für so viel Plastik wird auch überdimensional viel Geld verlangt. Die Oktonauten sind nicht wirklich preiswert, wir finden die Preise dafür ziemlich überzogen. Aber: was will man machen, wenn der Kleine so viel Freude daran hat? Darauf wird wohl spekuliert, denn sonst würde man es nicht kaufen (wollen). Insgesamt aber ein sehr schönes Spielzeug, da es wirklich die Phantasie anregt und nicht nur Vorgegebenes wiederkaut.
