I owned one of these and after several uses it failed.I contacted the distributor and they would not help.I have since purchased a low profile jack from Harbor freight for about $70.00 that works great.I wish I had made the investment when I was younger. I am sure this jack will last a long time.

With long neck attached, and jack all the way down, what is the height???

The height is 9 1/4"+ a fraction. If you want to say 9 3/8" to be on the safe side you should be good.

Is there a longer neck I can buy for it?

No, there isn't. But a longer neck would be dangerous because the higher the neck, the less stable the jack base. You can increase its lift by putting the jack wheels on a board or a plank on the ground; for example, a 2" by 6" by 30" long board would give you almost 2 more inches in height as well as maintaining a stable base. This is not a heavy duty jack to begin with; it's small with a narrow and small footprint. More weight and a higher lift reveal its stability problems very quickly. I hope this helps.

the long neck will definitely help lift your ford explorer. The long neck can be removed. I removed it to lift my CRV SUV bc the long neck is right at the bar.
